Your favorite and usefull mons to power up ?

Which are your mons that you plan to power up to lvl 30 or over 30 ? (Both Attacking and defending mons) Please show me your mons moveset cp and iv . I'm curious about that. Thank everyone :)

Only these 2 i plan on powering up with me to level 40. Others i leave at either 30 or 31. Pumpy (86.6% 11/13/15 Attack only) and Big papa for defense (68% 10/10/11)

I think that Pumpy should be a defender and Big Papa might be an attacker

I use Pumpy to walk for candies while Big Papa Stays for gyms. You think i should switch positions between the 2?

But Zen Headbutt should be for defense, and Lick for attack...

Since the update, I stopped powering these:
100% IV WG/P Slowbro
91% IV B/HP Poliwrath

Only Vaporeon, Slowbro ans Poliwrath are maxed out right now. The rest need like 4 power ups to max. Primary reason is candy. Stardust isn't a problem. A bunch of Pokémon spawn inside my house.

Holy H Christmas, you must be stealing all my luck. Every. Single. 100%. IV. Mon. I. Evolve. SUCKS.

Before I saw your post I just assumed that Niantic coded it into the game that every 100% mon would evolve with a garbage talent.

35 my friend. I have had a lot of major disappointments as well. e.g. 100% IV Eevee with Discharge, 91% Raichu with Brick Break and my only Arcanine (91%) with Bulldoze. My one and onky Dragonite also got HB. Could be better but yeah, I'll take it. Could be worse. Not all good to perfect IVs I evolved got awesome moves. Anyway... That is pretty much my team. I feel though they have been limiting the spawn of decent IV mons. I caught them all prior to the buddy update. Nowadays, all are just mere candies.

Also, totally not kidding. Of the 8x 100% IV's I've gotten so far only 2 had a top 3 offensive moveset. Not one had the best. It's brutal. Here's every 100% IV mon I've evolved with their offensive moveset ranking:

Dragonite: SW/DC (5th)
Golem: Rock Throw/Ancient (9th)
Gengar: Shadow Claw/Ball (4th)
Golduck: WG/Psy (2nd)
Nidoqueen: Bite/Sludge (5th)
Starmie: Tackle/HP (4th)
Primeape: Chop/Night Slash (6th)
Raichu - Spark/T Punch (3rd)

Out of the 14 Mons I've evolved at 98%, 7 of those (50%) are either the dead last ranked moveset or second to last

Sorry to hear that... I have only 2 100% mons. Both have First defence skills. 1st Flareon : Ember/Flamethrower and 2nd is Veetreebell razor leaf / Sludge boom.

You let your defender at lvl 30 and just power up your attack mons ?

I would power up all my Dragonites, Snorlax and Lapras if I had the candy. The current priority is to max out my two DB/DC Dragonite with 2/15/14 and 14/14/11, so I'm walking with a Dratini, The next thing on the list is to max out a 15/13/15 Chansey because the players of the opposing teams have to stand for ages in the freezing cold to get rid of this thing and I'm an asshole. Don't know what later, maybe kill myself or wait for Gen. II

lol guess I'm spoiled. I don't power up any Dragonites under 91% IV anymore

If dratini is n't rare in your region , I suggest you should find a better one with high iv because we need to assign and battle in gym. So , I think it is good to have high iv and att iv

Level 30? That's a pretty low cutoff. I've powered up a scheisseload of Mons to 30 or 31. I prefer being a generalist and having a few dozen useful mons at level 30-31 rather than a handful of maxed ones.

Here are the ones I powered up to 35+

Level 36
Vape - 89% - WG/Aqua
Vape - 80% - WG/Pulse
Exegg - 91% - Con/Seed Bomb

Level 35
Dragonite 93% SW/Pulse
Rhydon - 87% - Mud Slap/SE
Gyarados - 91% - Bite/Pulse

As you can see, I mostly power up high CP defenders. I especially like it when they also double as great attackers. Like Vape w/ Aqua, Rhydon, and to a lesser extent Gyarados

I take all my Snorlax to level 30 and then stop. Using my extremely limited candy I'd rather have a small army of them than 1 maxed

Most attackers go to 30 and stop, but I like powering up rare/strong attackers to 31 as my PoGo 'vanity mons'

93% Vaporeon (Hydro Pump) (maxed out)
76% Snorlax (Lick + BS)
80% Vaporeon (Water Pulse) (maxed out)
78% Lapras (FB + Blizzard)
89% Exeggutor (C + Solar Beam) (maxed out)
91% Flareon (Fire Blast) (maxed out)
80% Exeggutor (C + Psychic)
96% Jolteon (Thunderbolt) (maxed out)
89% Slowbro (C + Psychic) (maxed out)
87% Venusaur (RL + Solar Beam)
89% Poliwrath (B + Hydro Pump) (maxed out)
84% Gengar (SC + Sludge Bomb)
93% Pidgeot (WA + Hurricane) (maxed out)
87% Cloyster (FB + Blizzard)
84% Tangela (VW + Solar Beam)

I'm planning on maxing out the Snorlax and Lapras as soon as I get enough candies - and my Gyarados and Dragonite if I'll ever manage to get one of those lol.

Also, I'm at level 30 so the "maxed out" mons for me are the ones I brought to level 30.5+.
