I saw someone here sharing his happines about his dragonites getting DT instead of SW. Then in comments someone was very shocked that the guy made Dragon Tail/Dragon Pulse Dragonite which got me thinking. IMO it's a good moveset and as soon as I get my first charged TM I will most likely do the same (SW/DP is my only Dnite...), but I would like to see your opinion. What do you think of this moveset? I'll copy what I wrote in the other thread for you to examine my logic...
"DT/DP should be (in terms of pure damage) the third best Dnite moveset, with the damage difference compared to DT/HU about the same as the damage difference between DT/HU and DT/OR. Also DP has a little shorter CD than OR which may result in you being able to dodge in the very last second and being hit".
Edit: I cut some of the original quotation out because it might have been misleading. Also I forgot about DB/OR which is probably better than DT/DP but the point still stands - I think DT/DP is a very good moveset. Do you agree? Especially knowing that I have only one Dnite so far and if I keep hoarding and eventually get another one I still might need some TM's to get him working but I will be out of candies. Rerolling SW/DP for DT/DP give me instant Dnite+candies to power him up.

You missunderstood something. Noone wants to reroll DC. It's about having a legacy Dnite (with either DP or DC) and rerolling the quick attack. Now also the Dragonite damage will change after the STAB nerf which I have forgotten about, but since it affect every dragon move he has it should stay more or less the same. Also, I forgot about DB/OR which is probably better than DT/DP, but still, all I say is DT/DP is a perfectly fine moveset, and ask you if you agree.
Honestly I think DT/DP is pretty good. I don't think a DT/DC dragonite makes much sense tbh. You have a grandma speed quick move and a usain bolt charge move, so you want damage or you want dodging?
DP is a worse Outrage but it is still very powerful.
I have a SW/DC dragonite myself. Will definitely re-roll for a DT/DC, but I don't anticipate that I will fancy it over my DB/DC.
IMO the dragonite movesets go: DT/O> DT/DP > DB/DC> DT/DC and DT/H
Simply put, it's a decent charge move. It's completely inferior to OR yet in dodgeability it acts just like OR with a bit less damage. I have a few and my only warning is dependent on how long it will be before you have more options that are better and he falls back in your lead Dragonite group. But you are the best one to judge that for yourself.
