Wow. My 1360 Poliwrath > 2913 Tyranitar?

I was prestiging my Bubble/Dyamic Punch Poliwrath against a Fire Blast Tyranitar. And I took him down with ease. The CP difference was more than double. I was barely dodging. I dodged the fire blast and a few quick attacks. I'm glad there's finally use for Poliwrath!

Poliwrath has always been good, the problem is that he doesn't do anything that another pokemon can't do a lot better. I still use my mud shot/submission Poliwrath today. He was an auto selection, so I decided to leave him in and he performed just fine.

Iv trained a 2k ttar with a machop! Fighting moves destroy him. He had fireblast though same as yours, crunch or se different story

The thing that's unique about Poliwrath, though, is that a lot more of his movesets are equally useful.

It is useful, where the dodge bug occurs rarely.

Poliwrath can save you potions because of its fighting, resisting dark and rock, and water resists steel. In fact, it resists all Tyranitar's moves, though not being a Pareto frontier, it is very useful if you dodge.

Tyranitar is just a weak defender since it has a double weakness to fighting moves and is also weak against water. Any fighting pokemon can take it down with ease.
