Wouldn't it be cool if.....

..once you powered up a Pokemon to level 40, you could unlock it's entire moveset including Legacy? Or Mega evolve eligible Pokemon?
I think this would reinvigorate Lvl 40 players and get me to care about XP again. (I'm level 36 and don't care about leveling up anymore)

Not sure it Would have any real value. Since the cost of taking pokemons to lvl 40 is so high Im guessing probably be more value of having 2 pokemons at lvl 35.

I didn't downvote you but that would be for the player to decide.
As it is right now I would never power up anything past a wild caught level 35. I'd need a realllly good incentive to power up to 40 and that doesn't exist right now. If i was told I could give my Gengar Shadow Claw or Poison Jab at level 40, or give my Ttar Rock Throw or Foul Play, I'd reconsider.

I don't mind the downvotes. Everybody is entitled to have an opinion on the opinion :).

Thinking of the legendaries. It would nerf them even more due to rare candy beeing the only way for pokemons like mewtwo.

Or it could buff them! What if Mewtwo could learn Futuresight at 40, or Zapdos learn Wild Charge. Or Ho Oh gets Wing attack and Sky Attack!

Its too early for mega anything in pogo...

Actually that would give more incentive to be level 40. At level 38 you can already max out your Pokémon level, so at 39 and 40 you don’t do much. That would give you something to look forward to.

It would rather make sense to have Community events on which you gain a Special TM for acquiring certain numbers of XP or Pokémon caught in a limited amount of time.

And hopefully they could tune such events so that rurals get more spawns too. And actually also outside events.
