Would You Power Up This Mewtwo?

I have all the SD and candy. Got it 2 weeks ago and been waiting for another x pass but none are showing up. Its stats aren't great but its still a mewtwo. What would u do?

Just take it to 30. 70 rare candies and 85 k dust. How difficult could it be???

No joke, as is: is it better than a 100% level 20 Alakazam or a 100% level 20 Gengar? Would you take those to 30 if you had them?

Those don't cost rare candy, which are extremely hard to come by. That said, as ppl point out below, if Your charge move is confusion then you won't be missing out all that much attack-wise. His base stats are so high that IVs don't matter all that much.

I have a 87 mewtwo w an 11 attack that I'm considering powering up as well. I plan to eventually max 2 out so I don't feel as bad waiting for the absolute best mewtwo possible.

Would that still do pretty good against raids like Machamp?

But a lvl 30 Mewtwo will do 30 Confusion damage and it will take a lvl 38.5 Kazam at 15 atk stat to do the same...

Hard to say how rare they will be. Many of us still don't have one. Two weeks doesn't seem such a long wait, but I know that if it was me my fingers would be burning to power it up.
Maybe wait until Halloween event. I have a hunch that double mewtwo are coming by then ;)

I would power it up to level thirty and start using him. Have fun with him now.
Save your rare candy and if you get another one, you can power him up and have two Mewtwo.

My view:
The goal, here, is one PC/ShadowBall Psychic Counter/Generalist and one Con/FocusBlast Tank Counter.

And if you're really lucky, some may want a Con/ShadowBall DPS Generalist.

That means whatever your choice, DO NOT transfer your Mewtwo unless you have at least 3 (but who would...?)

What's your "limit"? Like do you normally power up other Pokémon with the same IV?

Your stardust is worth it.
You will not find much better candidates to power up.

You rare candies are maybe not worth it.
Better Mewtwos, a Raikou, other legendaries may be better candidates.
Do you have enough rare candies to power up that Mewtwo and keep for the better ones?

Do you have an immediate need for it? Are you soloing Machamp and are you on the hedge depending on the moveset? Do you already have 6 Espeon/Alakazam? Would that Mewtwo be useful for your next Mewtwo raid? Or do you have enough Tyranitar and anyway so many people are showing up at Mewtwo's raid?

I had the same dilemna, but with a 87% IV Mewtwo. I have decided to boost it to level 30.

I do not think that there is a urge to power it up.
