Would you attack a Gym with 4 Chenseys at the bottom?

I play with some friends, and after the change the next time we get together Im tempted to find a Level 3-5 Gym then Power it up to 7-9 Range and drop 4 Chensey's at the bottom.

Definitely! Out of curiosity. I think it would be a huge target for that reason. If you power a chansey let us know how it does.

Without a doubt! I could probably take them all down with a single Vaporeon. Since Chansey does so little damage, I might not even need to dodge. =D

That said, seeing that lineup would also be amusing enough to make my day!

Would be great if they stuck together and became well known so when they took a gym and filled the first spots people would say " damnit the chanseys are here"

That was before the update. Now Chansey performs about as well as Slowbro with Water Gun + Psychic on defense. On offense Chansey is a beast.

They say a maxed out 1500 cp Chansey is impossible to beat in 90 secs with dodges even with a 2500 cp Dragonite with DB/DC. Some are say any mon under 2500 cant even beat a Chansey in 90 secs. So the timeout risk is real. It might not cost alot of damage but its gonna be very time consuming process. Going forward I think we see this as a strategic mon at bottoms of gyms. Basically a newer better Wiggly...

If I'm doing the math right a Chansey can take 44% more pounding than a Snorlax of equal level. An annoying laborious task, but not impossible.

Hrrrmm I was hoping that the first fight would take so long, not that it would be hard, that people wouldn't bother especially if I gave the gym enough cushion that you'd have to go through it more than once.

Like if it was sitting at 38000 prestige

But I guess novelty wins. Not sure when all our work schedules line up to do this... but sometime will try it.

Would be easy for my 3k dragonites.

I think a hell of a job to level up that Gym :s

I feel like with the new update people don't really level up anymore anyway.

Today I took down a level 9 Gym and while I was on my last battle, a car pulled up and they started leveling up. I took them down anyway and put a Chansey in, test it out, it took two people almost five minutes to get rid off it. It was very amusing to say the least.

Their HP is so high, but their ATK is so low, so beware of the long battles.

How much CP does yours have? My best one has 898 and I have 34 candy, not sure if it's worth powering up since more candy is hard to come by

There's no way I'm going to train against a Chansey

Beating that with Lower CP attacker would be agonizing.

So in the name of science I powered it up as far as I could and tested it: It's at CP 1103 now (a 15/14/15 BTW, be jelly), to beat it took me 53 seconds with a CP 3132 Dragonite DB/DC, 60 s with a CP 2877 Vaporeon /Pump and 64 s with a 2395 Vaporeon /Pump. Some unsuspecting beginners will hit the 99 s timeout, but even when fully powered up it won't be impossible to beat for a high-level player

Thank you very much for your precious information. After the update I spent all my candy and my Chansey is now at 779CP, my wife's is at 998CP. So it's not worth investing more dust and candy for Chansey as Vaporeons and Dragonites are still too powerful for any defender.

Probably, I have some fighting-type Pokémon with their CP buffed, too!

I saw that gamepress considers Chansey "an incredible tank with by far the highest effective health in the game" now. What do they mean by effective health and how do you figure it out?
