Worthless event, but . . .

Yeah I was busy the whole time, at least I didn’t miss anything!

Great event for me ! I needed 30 Pikachu's to earn a gold medal. Within two hours, I caught 43, with one being shiny. Goal achieved.

Worthless? I made almost 1 million exp during it. And my plus got me 50 pikachus which is nice progress since I'm aiming at 500 and then 1k.

Just hope Niantic will give us Feebas next month.

I thought it was a great event, even if it became a bit hectic because of the limited time. But I went and met up with some local players at a big mall, so we had a pretty good time.

But I managed to do over 200 evolves and catch a few Pokemon.

Result:
700k XP
5 Shiny Pikachu (caught very few regular ones as I've already have gold medal)
5 Kyogre (three of which had 91, 96 and 98% IV) out of six raids

Now I'm only missing about 40k until I hit level 39.
And I'm also close to having all current Gen 3 Pokemon.

So yeah, fun event. Now I'm really tired, but am already looking forward to next months event.

I liked the idea of the event. A pokemon with an unique move, higher shinny spwans (I got 4 Shinny Pikachu) and something in double (XP, dust, candy (maybe?)). It was great to go to parks and play together with my friends.

But I have to say that: it's REALLY FRUSTRATING the event begins at 5p.m and ends at 8p.m in Brazil. Just one Kyogre hatched in a park (square, in fact) nearby, and after 6p.m, no eggs appearing anymore.

If they fix that, set a schedule during the morning for everyone would be better...

It was great. My goal was to meet other local players to finally be able to do legendary raids in town .... goal met!

We have a really good park in town (1k loop trail with 8 stops plus 3 gyms) and several active players on all teams. Yesterday, I met 5 of them and got them on Discord. With my lvl 40 friend (whom I had met at this park a few weeks ago) we did two Kyogre raids in this park, at the gyms best suited for them. Amazingly, my friend and I had discussed how we could contact locals - maybe post a notice on the park bulletin board about meeting at a certain time/place - which would have been iffy. But then Niantic announced this and, I have to say, got everything right!

P.S. I'm still 3 million away from 40 and didn't catch a shiny Pikachu... but that's OK :D
