Worth powering up a Tyranitar?

The tyranitar has 82.2% Ivs and its move set is bite and stone edge and I'm curious if I should wait to get a better tyranitar from gym raids

Wait. Niantic is giving away high IV Tyras. Dust will never be needed in this gym system.

The other day I caught a 100 IV tyra from a raid. I trash Tyras under 93%. I don't need a billion Tyras.

82% is fine and you been lucky enough to get an awesome moveset. My last two Tyranitar raids have resulted in 73% IV's, so the notion that you're going to get perfect mons from raids all the time just isn't accurate. I have a 93% BC and 98% BSE -- one was evolved and the other caught wild. The newly caught 73% IV'd mons will be put to good use, too.

And it's pretty clear that dust will be at a premium in this new system, especially since you're going to want to power up these pokemon to level 30.

Why do you have to power up a mon to level 30? For what purpose?

Downvotes from asking a legit question? Haha ok.

What is your Tyranitar's current level?

Even if that is your highest IV Tyranitar with that moveset currently, don't power up. Not worth pumping further if level 4 Tyranitar raids are possible for you.

That's high enough to take down anything in this game.

Yeah so true, a level 20 Tyranitar can take down a Snorlax raid boss solo.

Oh my bad. It has to be level 30 to solo a snorlax raid boss, right? GTFO
