By complete accident got a lucky Gengar, 14a/15d/14s. I know it got bulkier from the last update but that's not saying much. Worth the dust with Lick/Shadow ball?

Absolutely. At that sort of IV and with a legacy move that is actually competitive, coupled with the fact that it always has been/will be one of the top ghost attackers, makes it certainly worth it.

I already had 2 lv40 Shadow Claw Gengar when I raised up my Lick Gengar fron 15 to 40, and I've never regretted it. This will be especially true aa the lake trio comes up and origin Giratina makes its presence known.

The only Dragon that has higher DPS than L/ShB Gengar against Giratina is Rayquaza, a much more expensive power up. Especially after the stats rebalance, Gengar can be now a very consistent choice for raids where it’s SE.

It's a great counter to Deoxys and the upcoming trio of psychic legendaries sometime later this year. I'd absolutely power it up if you think your anti-psychic team could use an upgrade.
