With gyms going away, growing nostalgic. What's the worst mon you've ever had hold a spot in a gym? Not just placed and collected 10 coins, but actually hold a spot for over 21 hours? The last day at Bonnaroo, I tore down an Instinct Blissey tower for fun and placed this Lickitung, cp 18, at the main entrance just to troll them. Surprisingly, two lvl 39 Mystics got the joke and put Lickitungs in above mine. The gym quickly built to level 10, and my mon stayed for 3 days before getting kicked. People probably thought it was a Bubblestrat spoofer job, but it started organically as a good-natured trolling.
I vaguely remember once putting a low-level Squirtle (around CP 38), that was destined to be sent to the professor, into a gym that I didn't expect to last long, and it was there for two or three days.
I used to put low-level Shellders into gyms for the tongue-wagging, but I don't remember any of them lasting a day.
