Workarounds to avoid game crashes or freezes

When I first started playing, I would force close and restart the app every time I went outside. Otherwise, it would often freeze or never connect to the servers.

Since then, I have discovered the following workaround that allows me to skip the force closing. When I open the app, I try to view my medals. If there is already a connection with the sever, then I see all the medals without delay. There is no cause for concern in this case. Usually though, no medals are visible but this triggers a new connection to be made to the server. While I wait for the connection to be made, I close all windows and wait at the augmented reality screen. When the thing in the top-left corner stops spinning, the connection should exist. To confirm, I check my medals again...repeating the above steps as necessary if the medals still don't appear.

I still experience other consistent crashes or freezes, but I don't have workarounds for them.

Does anyone else know a workaround for a situation that would otherwise case the app to crash or freeze?
