I started walking my eggs now and getting them close to hatch and then finish them when the event starts. Will this work?

It should work for the double XP, but it won't change what comes out of the eggs.

No one is sure at this point if it is indeed double candies as it may just be a few more candies which might mean the eggs we have been saving will give us the same candies but if not then yes it should work. I must say that is a good idea I might as well start chipping some of those km's
