Will PoGo play on Xiaomi Note 5 (Unlocked)?

Hello everyone,
I was looking for a quite cheap Xiaomi (for the split screen) and I've found the Xiaomi Note 5, but it says it's Unlocked. Will it run PoGo?

I have Readmi 5 plus and i can play pogo on split screen, note 5 is a bit better i think it have 4 gb of ram not 3gb like my 5 plus.

but is it unlocked?

Wouldn't unlocked just mean it's not tied to any network provider? Unlocked shouldn't be a problem, rooted phones might be.
