Will Niantic one day release Smack down as a normal fast move for Tyraniter?

I have a hundo Tyranitar with Bite/Crunch/Stone edge. I dont want a separate one for smack down, and I dont like bite. I know usual Niantic will allow us to obtain smack down by evolving during certain events, so I am afraid my hundo will never get it.
So, Will Niantic one day release Smack down as a normal fast move for Tyraniter?

Also, remember the time about the glitch that we can TM Mewtwo to get Sb? Will this ever work on Tyranitar to get smack down during another glitch like the first few minutes after Cresselia leaves at 4pm est??

Never rule anything out....well, except trying to predict what glitches will happen and exactly when they will happen.

Why would anyone here know if Niantic will in the future make a glitch that lets people TM for SD on Tyranitar?

I would assume that Niantic doesn't want to undermine the worth of their CDs by making exclusive moves available normally, even if it's much later. Bite is a good fast move to have on Tyranitar, it's relatively useless as a counter to psychic/ghost if it has Smack Down. Bite is also ok in PvP, bad energy gain but does a ton of damage.

I am going to keep only one Tyranitar, so I figure that smack down /crunch/stone edge will be better than bite/crunch/stone edge in most situations. Even when against Psychic or ghost type, smack down will just a bit slower than bite. However, when smack down is SE, bite deals little damage. Am I wrong?

Because it is my play style? I want each of my pokemon to be unique, so I keep only 1 for each type of pokemon.

Not really, you still can make SE damage and be competitive if you use one of the right species. In fact, by doing so you'd still make more for your team that all the people who rely on the auto selection.

And also not specifying that playstyle. If you lead off with that you'd probably get a lot more responses your looking for and not people telling you how good a perfect bite/crunch-stone edge is.

Fair enough. Then smack down crunch and stone edge would be the best combination, yes. You'd have to wait for the next all species community day/weekend.

Or trade for one?

Would it be the best combination? Bite has better energy gain AND is going to be super effective against 3 more raid bosses in gen 4, while SD will be super effective against no new legendaries in a long while. To me it looks like Bite is preferable.

I think you are wrong. When your fast move isn't super effective, you want it to have good energy gain so you can instead use your super effective charge move more often, and SD has horrible energy gain. Bite's energy gain isn't good either, but it's better than SD's.
In a neutral setting, Bite also outdamages SD according to the DPS/TDO spreadsheet. Bite also has the advantage of being guaranteed to hit super effective against 3 more legendary bosses in gen 4, while SD will have to wait for reruns or gen 5 legendaries to be useful. And as a cherry on top, Bite is much easier to dodge with which can be relevant in tier 3 solos, especially if you only have one Tyranitar and want to maximize its effectiveness.

Just find 1 shiny larvitar...problem solved. Well, except for the part that it'll be able to learn Smack Down.

Why do people always seem to think bite is bad? A perfect Iv bite crunch tyranitar is something most players would do almost anything for. Its the best dark type attacker in the game with that moveset (that and bite crunch is the moveset that made tyranitar, not SD stone edge) and it also has significantly more legendary match ups that SD (ho-oh and lugia might be out for this weekend, but bite is also good agaisnt lugia and we have many more dark weak legendaries to come)

In PvP, both moves have their place, but bite hits mewtwo and metagross harder, 2 of the heavy hitters in masters.

But if you are hard set one SD, we dont know. It's a possibility they could bring it back permanently, but we will have to wait and see. If it really bugs you, just trade with others and hope you get a lucky or roll a perfect? theres really not much we can say other than hope for a glitch, niantic to devalue their community day moves or trade.

Better question is... you're transferring the hundo? Jesus christ that's more hundos than I've ever had... *Sighs*

Just transfer it; Ttar is useless without Smack Down. /s
