Why so many dogs?

Within my towns range theres a modest 10 gyms (you have to travel 30 kms to the nearest city to find more gyms) and i've not been doing that since the dogs appeared.

Despite this i've already completed 48 entei raids, i've got way more enteis than any of the birds. Yesterday one appeared and our group did a Tyranitar instead, no one was interested in the entei.

My point is, even for a average town there seems to be too many dogs. I know Niantic need to make money but i wish they'd find another way to make money that also allowed the game to grow more.

I enjoy the game but wish it would grow faster.

Unfortunately for me, I think the dog malaise has struck my town and I can't get people to raid when I have free time (can't usually raid after 6pm). So I've only been to 4 dog raids, and last night's network error raid wasted my pass so I've only had 3 attempts at catches.

I know what you mean. I live in a town of around 150,000 people, roughly around 70 gyms, and get around 35 Legendary raids per day. The fatigue has definitely seeped in, but I think part of the blame for lack of interest is the days getting shorter and colder.

Most days, I can't raid until 6pm and at this stage I don't really want to travel to the other side of town, but still want to use that daily free pass, so have to keep my eyes peeled on Discord/Facebook/Gymhuntr for one in that brief window before raids end for the day. On several occasions, it's been difficult to get enough people and certainly a far cry from the 50+ people turnouts we used to get a month or so ago.

Gotta love the double dust. I'll be powering up a bunch of good stuff.
