Why didn't you guys tell me Donphan was so good?

I was prestiging today against a 2315 CP Snorlax. He had Zen Headbutt/Hyperbeam. My newly evovled Donphan is 1688 CP w/ Counter/Earthquake. Look how much health I had left after beating the Snorlax. The only thing I dodged was the first Hyperbeam. The second one was charging, but I knocked the Snorlax out before he fired it off.

How is Donphan against Blissey? I'm thinking about powering up this Donphan after I finishing leveling up Machamp. (Bullet Punch/Dynamic Punch)

It's always on my team when I have to fight Blissey, and it usually performs well.

Nice! Can he beat Blissey by himself? And if so, what CP? Thanks.

Is that a Viking Donphan? LOL

It depends on how good I dodge. It can certainly beat 2700ish Blisseys by himself. In more difficult cases I sametimes use it to finish the Blissey of. But of course, your Machamp will perform better (I have one with the same moveset which I currently power up).

Based on dondon article, it performs similarly to Gyarados, which means good, but there are better choices.

Dophan is generally a good pokemon, but it is not great in anything.

As good as Gyarados? Well then some people around here would have me believing it is godly...

I don't think I've seen anyone consider Gary Godly.

That's doesn't mean it's not underrated a 1/2 tier
(or just eliminate T2.5) as it often outpreforms the Glass Cannons Tier.

Likely not as effective as a lot of other things, but way more fun to use... and he's one of the few mons outside the Big 7 that gets high enough CP to sneak into gyms.

Mines still chilling in a remote gym. Going on two months. He was capped around 3500 stardust. In the time he's been defending I now have a Slowqueen and Exeggutor who require 7dust/boost!
