Why did you pick the team that you are on?

team yellow because they were/are underrepresented. I don't think I joined a team until like level 10 or so, I took quite a while deciding since it was permanent.

with most gyms not being team yellow it's easier to get my battle girl badge up, so I got that going for me.

Mystic because of the wisdom related idealogy!

Valor because my team leader said that "the Pokemon we train is the strongest in battle".

Because my friends who I used to play with (they have quit playing) chose team mystic and blue happens to be my fav color, so it was a no brainer for me to choose team mystic

yellow. My daughter joined that team.

Red my favorite color ,and got to know some random players and said every one is red aaand boy I was wrong blue and yellowes. Was every where ,

Wisdom > Strength/Trust
Case closed

Instinct because Zapdos is my favorite (and the stronger) of the bunch.
Turned out all my friends who were playing at the time picked Instinct as well, so that was nice :D

It's a mix of some factors.

First after reading the description and how it was supposed to be the "ideology" of all teams, I was closer to Mystic/blue one.

I tought the team had something to do with the legendary birds (like you can only catch the bird that represents your team, etc). Following this path I never did like Moltres at all. So I discarted Valor/red team, even when they had dominado on my town. Between Articuno and Zapdos couldn't decide because I love them both, so I was about blue or yellow.

I had hard time deciding between yellow or blue team, but since the mistyc team description it was the most appealing for me and Articuno is cool ended joining the Mystic team at the end.

Never did regret it, even when Valor had dominado for such a long time, but since my town is small with just 4 main gyms it was easy to just place my mons there and get my coins till it change again.

Nowadays our team have full dominado on the town and the gyms are all the time blue that I always get bored no one come to take over the gym so I can power up my pokemon in there or stuff.

Oh this is easy!

I chose red because:
- love the colour
- the general landscape of the ingame map is blue/green and heck the darn pokestops are blue themselves. Its such a boring landscape! to keep looking at blue/green. Have you seen a sea of blue gyms, on a background of blue? Nothing aesthetically pleasing about it.

Therefore, nothing else screams "look at this" like a gym turning red after I've knocked it down and placed my fat blissey or snorlax on top or better yet a landscape of red gyms over a sea of blue. That being said, yellow is also kinda close to green, but better than blue so I ranked it second choice.

Instinct. Instinctively!

No - my ex's are both on instinct and encouraged me to join that team. And if both my ex's were drawn to that team, there are probably more women who are "my type" on instinct, right? Since being on different pokemon teams could be a deal-breaker, being on Instinct doesn't limit me as much. Besides, the king of my friends is Instinct, and I'm a good minion.

Zapdos.

Instinct because its the only team with a male leader.

I picked Valor as soon as I leveled up and was able to because it aligned with the main Pokemon series games the most. Instinct was a close second choice for me. I didn't look at any gyms or talk to any players before choosing.

Instinct. For the little guys. I live in a Mystic dominated area. Probably we all do. Still... I prefer the underdogs. It's true we lack manpower and numbers but we make up for it in quality.

I liked the Mystic philosophy best.

Team Mystic because I like the color blue. Yeah, I'm dead serious. :D

The friends who got me into Pokemon GO told me to join Valor which they were already on. They quit playing a few weeks later.

Unfortunately, everyone in my family (except for my son and me, both Mystic) is on a different team - Husband Valor, 12-year-old daughter Instinct ("Because the team leader is cute").

What can I say, at level 5 you are pretty much clueless....

P.S. I am glad to be Mystic, because blue IS my favorite color (and it's dominant in this town).

My friend is a big nerd so he chose Mystic. I'm a bit of a lesser nerd but this team is fine for me. If I knew there'd be so many Mystics and a cool black tee with yellow pokeball that matches my favourite cap (girls' wardrobe) I'd be Instinct for sure. That outfit would go perfectly with the yellow team's highlight on my avatar in gyms. Team Instinct sweater looks awesome as well.
