Why is B/SE better than SD/SE? (Tyranitar)

On the comprehensive DPS/TDO chart, it says that Bite and Stone Edge is noticably better than the community day set. Is this an error?

I think you need to point out where exactly it appears as being better.

You selected a specific enemy (Regice) with a specific moveset.

If you do not fill in any enemy details, the chart does show slightly higher DPS and TDO for Bite/SE compared to SD/SE.

This is only relevant in neutral matchups, such as Blissey.

True, but considering counters with neutral damage isn't exactly what good gameplay is. I mean unless your name is Ash Ketchum and you fight everything with Pikachu.

And regarding OP's question, better DPS moves result in better Overall DPS. What is your question actually?

Maybe against neutral targets.

Or against targets weak to dark (which seems pretty obvious).

If I recall correctly, they're always measured with neutral damage being most important.
