Is there a reason to go on with playing pokemon go?

I evolved 3 heiteira, all three with pound/psychic
- chansey candies are fucking hard to get here
I evolved 10 (!!) gyarados, only 1 with hydropump (2 got dragon pulse, 7 got crunch/twister

And so on...

90% of my best pokemon with good movesets are catched. Nearly every pokemon I evolved got bad movesets. I'm on level 36, spend enough money On coins.. only for being pranked by game.

The game gives me the nudge that I need to get outside and take a long walks.
I try to walk 8 miles a day on the weekends.
Week days, I bike commute to work, this game makes that grind, a different grind (a grind for more mon candy)

Find what you like about playing, that does not involve the actual mons/gyms.

While I get frustrated with bad movesets you also have to look at all the great mons you have with the perfect movesets. You just noticed the bad ones. The bad ones hurt more than the good ones are positive.

I can always grind more, that doesn't bother me. What bothers me about this game is the spoofers and bots taking down and powering up gyms to 10 in no time at all. That is what will make me quit this game.

Mr, Pilzner,

you are so correct about the spoofers. A player that I call "Mr. Blissey" has at least 10 accounts. Fills every gym with 10 Blisseys. Really a mood killer.
1) spoofer with 10 accounts.
2) always the exact same 10 people travel around in the middle of the night and fill up gyms.

I'm assuming #1

I have not counted but at least 30 gyms.

Niantic should not allow more than 12-15 gyms per player.

I keep saying 10 gyms per player. It makes no sense that the game lets you hold more than you can collect

No, it makes sense because 'mons get kicked out. If you want to harvest 10 coins tomorrow, you have to get 15+ today. Preferably by prestiging existing ones. At least it's true for cities.

Niantic "should" do a lot of things...I think they are working on somethings, but just at suh a slow rate due to 1) the small number of employees they have and 2) due to the nature of the problem.

How's this for a temporary solution: when a player puts a Pokémon in a gym, allow that player to continue to collect coins from that gym, up to X (say, 72 {3 days}) from thenmoment their Pokémon has been knocked out of a gym.

This would slow down the rate at which the legitimate players have to deal with spoofers, such as in your situation! Idk how easy it would be to implement this temporary solution, but this way, legitimate players such as yourself aren't affected by spoofers to the same extent that they are now.

I don't have good moves on my blissey s, either, but they are still good defenders. I go with what I get, especially, with something as rare as blissey, which mostly isn't the best possible, but still playable

That's the challenge. Without challenge, games are pointless.

I think all legit players endure the same things. After playing from almost day 1, I still can't get a venusaur with solar beam. After countless evolutions, is that so much to ask? Oh yeah, and after going through over 3,000 Magikarp candies (living in a desert biome) I've never gotten a hydropump.

But I like what I've got, and the anticipation of what's to come.

Amen.

When I see people complaining I imagine them wanting to walk outside their house every day and see 3 wild Charizards and 4 100% IV Dragonites waiting there for them. No, it's a game and there has to be some challenge. You can't have everything nice just handed to you. Go and earn it, and when you do that nice fuzzy feeling you'll get inside is so worth it.
