I took advantage of the distance feeding last night at a gym I could see from my house. Someone was trying to knock out my Blissey, so after it was defeated twice, I would give it a golden berry. They actually kept going...I used 10 golden berries and they finally succeeded in taking down my gym. I do admire their dedication to battling my Blissey that many times. They stuck a shiny Magikarp in the gym afterwards, I assume to troll me, but the way I see it, they spent over 20 minutes and a bunch of options to do that. I guess I feel like I won that because of all the time and resources they used. On top of that, they had a Pokemon in the gym next to it, so they will be get KOd around the same, an either one will give them the max collection.

I guess a note...I had already collected, but I collect everyday. I stick Pokemon in a couple gyms on my way to work.

I went totally against reasonable advice (that I never asked) and made another Blissey after hatching two Chansey eggs during this event (90+candies). Now I have 4 that are 2650 to 2750, not coincidently I have 4 close gyms I care about keeping

Yeah, I sorta don't like berrys for this reason...Gyms may stagnate even more since it's pointless if golden berries are involved, esp with remote feeding now...

They should make it not work if people are attacking since that sounds more fair, but the whole gym thing is just a total mess IMO...

Be aware people are going to double place and feed Blisseys with the second account. So the "winning" attacker not gonna burn real berries

You shouldn't have wasted your golden berries.
Anyway, I often attack gyms over and over again even when someone is fiercely guarding, just to make that person use up all his golden berries.

Problem is time...If it's a spoofer, fine...but standing on a street corner if you don't need to be there seems like a waste of time to attack a gym to me.

Also, I'd guess, but people defending with goldens tend to have 100+ or even more...If it was a Rare Candy, then yeah, that seems like a MUCH more rare resource to defend a gym with.

I have 130 golden berries. I need things to use them on. I typically get more berries than balls from the legendary raids.

I feel that they won actually

Yeah, maybe they did. I do admire them not giving up. I would have just let the gym be.

Hmmm, 10 golden berries for another few minutes in a gym in a game that rewards losing gyms.

Tough call.

Not everywhere in the world is losing gyms good. Here, the turnover is so high, gyms get flipped in 2 hours, and shaving is fucking rampant, literally everywhere.

Well I'm throwing nanabs to get dust and space, threw one to a teammates Snorlax and 2 candies--first time I've officially noticed candy reward. An observation not a celebration, now I have 60 Snorlax candies I won't use

I can't use my golden berries fast enough. I think I'm going to start dumping them before the bonus ends this evening.

I've taken to using my excess golden berries to catch things like 700 cp pidgeottos, 900 cp Ledians, and 1100 cp Ariados during the event for the extra bonuses. I figure as long as I don't let them get below about 50 I'm fine.

And now you just spend 20 minutes writing about it. They won.

I'm sorry that you struggle with writing so much that something like that would take you 20 minutes to write.

I'd guess they probably had extra potions to spare, needed to make room for more pokeballs, but didn't want to just throw away potions. They also were getting a little more badge experience for that fighting.

Yeah, that badge exp was probably nice. I would love someone to do that with anything other than Blissey.

They also got lots of wins towards their gym badge. Some trainers are focused on building those up too. Of course you got a few more berries towards your berry badge. LOL

I did that often too if I happened to see someone taking on my gym just to spite them even though my defender has been there for over 9 hours.. I know it is not a good thing to do but well, someone has to defend the gym for how long they like, right? Lol.. Guess my comment will have several downvotes coming... :D
