Which would you power up?

Hello!
I've just reached level 29, I have some pokemon upgraded to level 30 (two Vaporeon, snorlax with zh-bs,exeggutor, Poliwrath, venusaur and arcanine with ff-fb)

Now I cant decide which of these pokemon power up to level 30 (first of all, I dont really care a lot about IVs if they are +70, cause they dont have very deep impact in the game, i think movesets are more important. I usually only use the ingame appraisals)

These are the pokemon:
- Snorlax 1836CP, hatched (but less than 70% ivs) ZH and HB.
- Snorlax 1619CP (95% ivs, this could easily get 3000cp) but moveset is ZH and Earthquake.
- Golem 1622 +80iv Mudslap Stonedge
- Muk 1749 +80iv Lick SludgeWave
- Alakazam 1836 +80iv Pcut-P
- Machamp 1806 +95iv Karate-crosschop
- Arcanine level20 1595 +80iv Bite-Fireblast
- Also I have three Poliwrath with Bubble-Submission/IcePunch/Hydropump with +90ivs. Would be nice a poliwrath defender trio.
- A lot of flareon/vaporeon/jolteon with high level and nice ivs, and good movesets too. But Im not sure about these since i can get a lot of eevees.

What would you do?

PD: I'd really like to know which of these snorlax would you power up :D

Thanks!

Alakazam, maybe machamp if the gyms in your area have normal/rock/ice pokemon. I don't have a machamp, but it maybe could be a great lapras/cloyster counter. The others don't have really good movesets or IV (2 snorlax)

I'll list these in order of priority:

  1. Alakazam - self explanatory
  2. Machamp - only decent fighting type, which may eventually become more valuable. Will become extremely strong if they ever rebalance moves and give fighting moves a level shot.
  3. Snorlax 95% - I disagree with what others say, EQ isn't garbage. Especially after the Rhydon buffs, it's actually stronger than HB in that matchup. You also use Snorlax as a deterrent, and higher IV = higher CP = better deterrent. ONLY if you have loads of candies though, the one you've already powered should be top priority to continue training past 30. (Don't get me wrong, EQ is still his worst charge move. It's just not sufficiently worse to be completely ignored - especially on someone with near perfect IV. The higher CP deterrent factor will matter more than EQ over HB/BS).

I don't think others are worthwhile. Your current Arcanine eliminates any need of Flareon. Two Vaporeon is enough. All you really need to add from gen 1 is a Dragonite and Lapras - so focus on finding and adding those and power them up. Don't power the second Snorlax if it will prevent you having stardust for these once you get them.

Thanks a lot for the long response! I understand you perfectly, I know Hyperbeam is better with Snorlax, but EQ isnt useless and with that IV he will have very high CP for stayin on the top of the gyms. I have some candies because I hatched the HB snorlax last week and also have him as my buddy.
Probably I'll power up Alakazam today, because i have enough candies. Unfortunately i'll nedd to farm some machops for Machamp hahaha

Oh, and I have a dragonite level 22,5 2270CP and +80iv with SW and HB. I only have 40 candies so im not sure if i should power him up. Maybe I'll wait to the probable Christmas event to choose dratini as buddy (if there are extra candies) and try to get a better moveset.

And for Lapras i'll keep walking for eggs hehehe

I'd say Alakazam, maybe Machamp if you need a Snorlax killer, and either of the two Snorlax depending if you'd like to use it more for attack (then the Hyper Beam one) or for defence (then the Earthquake one because of IVs). The Poliwrath with Ice Punch would make for a great defender too, if you have the resources to get it to a decent level.

Yeah, thank you. I prefer Snorlax for defence so i'll power up second one.
Poliwag is quite common here so I have enough candy. Maybe I'll try to get the defensive poliwrath trio hehehe. I'll start for the ice punch one, and afterwards the other, because I'll need more stardust!

Id only do #2 and #1 if its the best you have after #2 is powered up. I caught a 1200 cp kadabra and its gonna evolve into a 2300+ Alakazam and i have several Machamps with 2300-2450 CP and 2300 cp Golem with no stardust used. Better to focus on leveling to 30.
Now if i could figure out how to get the right movesets on evolutions...

I wouldn't power up any. I would keep grinding to level 30 and hope by then you'll get a good IV with best move set on top tier mons. You got good IV and movesets on your Machamp and Poliwrath but they aren't top tier mons. I would save dust close to a million and wait for great because then if you find a low CP but high IV mon you will have the dust and candies to take a mon from level 10 to 30 if you must. I may be extreme but I've taken a wild caught 100 IV Lapras with 132 CP IS/IB to level 34.5. Took me three months but I had the dust and candies. My friend who caught the same Lapras with me laughed his ass off when he saw mine was 132 CP and told me to just candy it. He's not laughing now!
