Which Tyranitar to power up?
I got two Tyranitar with the same moves (Bite/Crunch) and same level 20. Having hatched two Larvitar back to back, I got enough candy to level up one of these guys to level 30. Was wondering which one to power up? And which raid boss other than Alakazam would they be good for?
A. 15A/11D/12HP 84% IV, 2046 CP (hatched)
B. 13A/14D/12HP 86% IV, 2062 CP (raid boss)

I would try to get more from raids before powering up...maybe like nests, after they rotate, see what you get and THEN, power up (since dust is harder to get now) and you may get a 97% (like my wife did with a Gengar raid boss (I got 80%...transfer)).
84/86% is too low for me...(I've hatched 4x Larvitars: 77, 82, 84, 84%...sitting on 300+ candies now). No need to rush it...
After a Tyranitar Raid this morning, I was asking myself the same question. I had two with 87% IVs (one with 15 HP, one with 15 Defense). Tyranitar is better used as an attacker, and since none of mine had more than 12 Attack, I didn't really want to commit to one.
However, later today another Tyranitar Raid popped up in my small town. I managed to catch a 2087 CP, 96% IV with perfect attack. Most likely the one I will power up.
I am going to wait for the raid bosses to change though. I didn't catch my first three and thought that my chances of catching one before the inevitable raid boss switch were slim. In the past 48 hours, I have caught three.
You never know what is going to happen and you don't want to power one up just to catch a better one down the line. My advice is to wait. Tyranitar will always be a relevant and strong Pokemon.
