Which to spend rare candies?

I've been saving rare candies. However, I need to spend some to free up some spaces for other items.

Which pokemon to spend the rare candies?

I got enough candies for specific pokemons and I'm not sure if I want to power up legendaries except zapdos (team bird with candies ready for L30).

Distribute, I've put 50 in Zap, 50 in Moltres, 30 in Lugia, 20 in Tyanitar, 20 in Dragonite--have 150 candy in bag. If I go another few days getting big rewards then I will need to find a good spot for 50 more

Depend on what pokemon you have, what level your pokemon are and on what level you want them to be.

Can't go wrong with larvitar candies.

I'm having the same quandary. 500 candies and nothing to spend them on (either worth it or needed). But I'm about to have to store them with some species, because space is becoming an issue.

ive lost count. I always have around 390-400. I use them on tyranitar, dragonite and the legendary birds.

I only have 200+, but is it really worth it to use it on Tyranitar or any hatchable/catchable mons? I was up to near 600 Tyranitar candies before I evolved my 1st (not many people seem to do tyranitar's in my area and I'm not "hardcore" enough to drive all over)...Double candy hatches got me 150+ already.

I suppose having more Tyranitars is useful for raids overall, but for most raids, you simply need more people and most folks don't duo/trio raid bosses...

With 20km to get a candy for legendaries, it seems like rare candy should only be used on legendaries...(at least that's my plan so far).

Also, each gen has new legandaries so some future gens, you may need 200+ rare candies to max just 1 Pokemon.

If you do a ton of raids, I suppose it doesn't matter since you have so much candies.

I have 1500 item storage and just toss Pokeballs when I get over 300 balls (no Go Plus).

Added TL:DR - I personally plan to only use them for Legendary pokemon...that's it. Sitting on 300+ Larvitar and near 200 Dratini candies. Unless you raid so much, then yeah, it really doesn't matter, but most mons are so much easier to get candies for...Sitting on 200+ Mareep candies too just from hatching 2 (80+ candies) during double candies and just playing the game.

The easiest thing to throw away in my opinion are revives, still I typically only knock it from 250 to 200. I throw my balls pretty quick, if I didn't I would have to go to 150 or 100 revives

If you do enough raids rare candies aren't all that rare. I've converted them into Geodude, Larvitar, Chansey, dratini, legendary birds, and even pidgeys candies. In fact I'm walking a pidgey as a buddy.

I would just use them on whatever you need to evolve as long as that Pokemon is rare of course. I have been using mine on Chikorita and Porygon

You may want to rethink this. It's clear that raid rewards are changing, and rare candies may actually become RARE.
