Which Porygon?

The Porygon2 will only be for attacking/prestiging, I wouldn't put it in a gym.

89 candies

936cp 47% iv 749cp 57% iv 561cp 82% iv

I'm not sure if it's a mon worth powering up, hence my dilemma. What movesets do I want btw?

Ok so apparently I’m a noob but I asked this question too and apparently he evolves again in gen 4, so not really worth powering up. I got Hidden Power (Dragon) and Hyper Beam which is a fantastic moveset and hes around 1420 CP but I won’t power him up. This is what happens when you only played gen 1 and 2 because gen 3 came out when you were in highschool and thought pokemon wasn’t cool anymore. Look at us all now.

I think I would wait for something better to evolve. If I had to pick one of those I'd pick the third one. I think hidden power might be the most fun although how useful it is probably depends on what you get.

If you have any Porygon spawns around you I would say to evolve the higher IV one, if not, better save candy for a 90+. Specially that he has an evolution in gen IV, so it's better to not waste candy(If he's rare for you of course). As for moves, Hidden Power with normal typing + Hyper Beam seems to be the best, but the amount of luck you need to get that is... oh boi. Charge Beam could attually be kind of equal to not-normal nor electric Hidden Power since it has good EPS and it's super-effective vs 2 strong defenders - vaporeon and gyarados. PS. Zap Cannon as charge move could be stronger than Hyper Beam only vs flying-water mons like gyarados, so Hyper Beam is a must have for me, unless you want a gyarados killer.

None, he evolves again in gen 4, and if/when that happends, you get a bad moveset, all of your effor will go to waste. The only caveat to this would be that for some reason Porygon 2 becomes the absolute best pokemon in the game, but I don't see that happening anytime soon... if ever.
