I wouldn't mind any of the ones you mentioned. Highly meta relevant CDs like Beldum are fun every once in a while, but they can also be highly stressful. Pidgey would be nice, the little bird we all loved and hated since the release deserves one more time in the limelight.

The extra hour for appraisal/evolve/trading took all the stress out of the event for me. This needs to become standard for future CD's.

It was better, but since 1 hour isn't enough to do 100 trades it was far from taking all the stress out for me. First 8 minutes I checked the IVs of all 300 Beldums, then proceeded to non-stop trade and evolve until the hour was over and I can say that was a very stressful experience. Then after the extra hour was over we could finally breathe and take it a bit easier.

2 hours to catch and 2 hours to trade would be even better. We don’t really NEED to have 300 caught... 200 would be just fine.

I guess that's true. I really can't see why they couldn't just give us the entire day or weekend to evolve. I've said it before, but the 3h window on evolving is not a motivator to get people out and playing during those 3h, it's a motivator to force people to press the evolve button and they can do that at home if they have the candy for it. Even if they want to keep the catching part of the event short for reasons, there's no financial reason for them to limit the evolution window that much. I'd say it's even detrimental to business that they create all this stress for the players.

I've got nothing but love for the little bird, helped me level up before Niantic decided to give millions of XP for opening gifts.

Drowzee on the other hand, arrrgghhhh....

The question is - what to give as exclusive move? It already has its strong signature move in Draco Meteor and one of the best fast moves in Dragon Tail, so it seems a bit odd to give it Dragon Claw or Dragon Breath. IIRC it doesn't learn Outrage, so that seems out of the discussion.

I'm more inclined to think about Ralts and an introduction to Fairy Wind and/or Gallade with a new move (the Psychic move "Dream Eater" for instance, and they could make it bananas powerful like Meteor Mash).

Gardevoir can't learn Fairy Wind so that's out of the discussion. The possibilities would be Misty Terrain (a status move so a bit unlikely) or to change Disarming Voice from charged to fast.

Wouldn't mind Gallade getting a really good fighting move to be honest. With its current moveset it's just totally underwhelming and a huge disappointment to anyone who was sitting on a good male Ralts.

Previously I'd have said that the chance for Salamence to get a really good moveset which could rival Rayquaza are nonexistent because it doesn't make business sense, but now we have this Metagross/Dialga situation where they purposedly made a non-legendary outclass a legendary, so I guess anything is possible. I have no clue how Niantic is running this business but I hope they do.

Players will use Dialga as another dragon attacker, not a steel attacker. No one is ever going to run an Iron Head Dialga whether they have Metagross or not.

People will still raid Dialga regardless, it's a legendary. And ofc they will release the shiny variant and have a Dialga community day one day.

Dialga will make Niantic plenty of money, as will the the other gen 4 legendaries. Don't worry about that.

You have a point. But steel will be the supreme counter to the fairy raids in the far future and Dialga lost that mantle to Metagross. It's not a must-have as a dragon attacker either because it only offers tankiness compared to Dragonite. Still I agree that people will raid it regardless, it's iconic as a box art legendary, looks cool and has an interesting and unique typing.

It will still be an amazing gym sweeper with all those resistances. Maybe even better than Metagross now, depending on what happens with the stats rework and if that changes the kind of common gym defenders.

talking to a friend yesterday we got a good way to make a cool Ralts CD. Powerup draining kiss ( like the lugia move but 30 instead of 10) and give gallade draining punch as a clon of dinamic punch.

Wurmple, done Squirtle style so the quests give out party hat encounters.

We have too many too many dragons already, I choose Slakoth and raltz

Abra
Exclusive CD move: teleport (1 bar, 0 damage). Immediately switches your entire party with the next saved party. Would be different, funny and probably would even see use in raids to save time instead of relobbying

Don't be silly now. That would require Niantic to add a whole new batch of coding to the game. It takes the game on the first step towards introducing moves that do not just do generic damage i.e. status changing moves, stat changing moves.

This would significantly expend the meta, a very dangerous path for Niantic who prefer to make the battle system as simplistic as possible.

Point taken. It was just a fun and interesting idea and I know it can't exist in the current state of the game

However, everyone knows that we need new coding and a battle system more complex to implement PvP. Seriously, if the game never takes a similar step (or actually leap) then PvP will either be forgotten after a couple of months OR a boring grind if they make it rewarding.

If Niantic release PvP with the current battle system I'll be writing long post here complaining about it! :D Blissey would become the most hated pokemon ever.

I hope They've got an alternate plan in place for PvP.

I would happily take a Slakoth day if it meant giving Slaking a fast move that did damage...

My guess is Slakoth, simply because it's easy to bring a Fast Move for it that is really fun - Hidden Power.

Can you imagine a Slaking with Hidden Power (Ice, Dragon, Fairy) and Play Rough?

Will and should are two different things. Willing to bet cash money that it won't be Bagon, because we had a really strong one with Beldum. Probably something less interesting like Trapinch, or maybe a new G4 mid level pokemon. Bagon and Ralts could come up after Totodile in January.

Should - Bagon, Ralts. Will - Trapinch, Feebas, G4 something.

I’m guessing the next one will be Trapinch

In my opinion, the only Pokemon that could top this epic past community day would be Ralts with a chance for a fairy fast move for Gardevoir. That would mark the end of a good year of community day. Plus it would switch it up on movesets.
