Which movesets to have before they become legacy?

I've seen bits and pieces discussed in different threads, but has anyone compiled a list of movesets to ensure before (in case) they go legacy? I'd like to use a few TMs to ensure I have those movesets in case they become legacy post Gen 3.

I would add

Hydropump Gyarados,
Sludge Bomb Gengar and
Hurricane Dragonite

to that list in case they get same type fast attacks added

You are just listing best moves for now. Their dps and bar counts can change with a rework.

It is better to save moves with stab or same type on both moves. Things like bite crunch , dt/o , rt/se etc.
And some pokemons lacking quick move with stab like hydro gyarados, eq donphan etc.

As well as the best movesets for each Pokemon, go for ones with type synergy, some Pokemon have a charge move that is still pretty good but it's just not as good as the best move.

e.g. Machamp Close Combat, Golem Rock Blast, Seed Bomb Exeggutor and so on. They might not be as good now but numbers can be adjusted, move typing cannot, so a Fire Blast Tyranitar will basically never have an optimal use because of it's typing.

any answer would be pure speculation, you want to use TM's to ensure your 'mons have best possible current moveset and if you have more than 2 with those moves there is no harm in making the 3rd use b list moves of a different type (e.g. dt/hurricane dragonite,bs/sb eggy or even allakazams with shadow ball and perhaps even focus blast to deal crazy dmg to chan/blissey/snorlax).

we don't know what moves gen3 brings or how current moves will be changed but IMO it's a safe bet to hold onto TM's incase the most popular moves get rebalanced to provide real choice between quick and slow fast attacks.
