Which Magikarp should I evolve

I have a good amount of Wonder magikarps from the water event. I'm not too sure which stats are important for a Gyarados. the only problem is the cp of some of them, but whatever. please help me find out which one of them is worthwhile to invest into. thank you.

Based on this info everyone would advice to invest in the one with the highest IV. More importantly, are magikarp common in your area? Do you play active enough to have enough dust?

If those two questions can be answered with yes, you should probably invest the magikarp with the highest IV. To be sure, could you add the level or CP of the magikarp you just mentioned?

the 41/45 iv magikarp is cp 58. There is a place nearby that i hear is pretty good at catching karp. and im rocking 58870 dust atm

Everyone of them are good. Without knowing CP 14/12/15 will be my first choise. Higher attack of all. Good Defense. Perfect Stamina.

Anyway I have 2 (not good moveset GY).. one 97% and other 93% .. what a Pity..

That is my greatest fear, getting a sub-optimal moveset on a Gyarados after dumping 400 candy :c

The higher the ATK stat, the higher the CP goes. Take one of these:
