Which Legendaries will be most helpful in soloing Level 3 Raid Bosses?

I think the answer is:
1. Mew Two
2. Lugia
3. Raikou
In that order, with the remaining Legendaries being less useful. What do you think? So far, I have powered up my best Lugia and best Raikou to Level 30 and am saving some candy and stardust for a Mew Two.

i would agree with that order. raikou with ts/wc is a force to be reckoned with. as cool as zapdos is, i cant argue with raikou being better at this point because of the movesets.

I think you're right about the order. From videos I've watched with mewtwo, he almost seems overrated. I would almost say (with hesitation because I haven't tested it myself) that he is only marginally better than Alakazam/Espeon.

I disagree- max him out and use against Alakazam you will see how much work he puts in. Also used my first against my second ex raid and he was mvp

Fair enough. Once I stockpile more rare candies I'll decide how much to power mine up

I love Mewtwo and Raikou- I still have not figured out the role of Lugia except sweeping gyms which doesn't count for much and I guess an anchor against Machamp but I never need anchor anyways. What other role is he useful besides Mewtwo with focus Blast?

Lugia can carry it's own weight against Machamp and Gengar.

My experience is somewhat limited, and my skills meager, but, so far, what I have used Lugia for is anchoring battles against Machamp. Maybe Lugia should be below Raikou in my ordering.

For what it's worth, Lugia makes it easy to take down a Wheezing. Prior to Lugia I would be cutting it close. But I'm not high level. Obviously this isn't really worth a lot (taking out Wheezing).

I have to say this: If you rely on Lugia to solo machamp, you seriously need to work on your team building.

Not necessarily with machamp if you went 2 alakazam 2 esp at level 30 , maybe a 3rd of either a Lugia at the end would be useful in case the machamp has dynamic punch and dodge glitch happens , you'd be safe for the timer just need your last guy to last thru some dmg to get the last smidgen of health out if need be even

You are probably right. So far, what I have used Lugia for is anchoring battles against Machamp. It is useful there, but maybe that is just a niche use. Maybe Lugia should be below Raikou in my ordering.

Lugia needs rare candies and you have to spend money to get lots of them. You can easily have several espeons, alakazams, Exeggutor to solo machamp. Save your rare candies. It is much better to power up a couple of Mewtwos.

While your reasoning isn't wrong, the issue arises with managing more than one EX invite to get a couple Mewtwos, and at the one raid I managed to get invited to I still saw more than a few people angry about it running away, even with his catch rte being the highest for a legend.
All that being said, I am still, admittedly, that guy who hasn't spent any rare candy in anticipation for mewtwo.

From a 6-different Lv30&below solo of Gengar, Raikou for the win!

I haven't powered Mewtwo or Lugia, but Raikou's high neutral DPS would make it serviceable for more than just Vape. I'm not sure Lugia can make the same claim outside of Machamp.
