Which Gen 3 Pokemon are you most excited about?
For me it's Salamence. No real reason, but he just looks cool. Also, he will have the highest attack stat in the game of all non-legendaries (besides Slaking who will surely be nerfed in some way)
I can't wait to hunt for Bagons on a windy day!

Yes, with the influx of dragons in Gen3, we need something that double resists them and they are weak to. Of course, Hurricane, Steel Wing, and those are a problem. But at least there will be more than one option for fighting Dragons. Now, how about something that has a Fairy/Ice typing? That would be fun.
Mostly Blaziken, partly because he's my favourite from that generation, but also happy that he should perform well in PoGo. Gardevoir, Aggron, and Salamence are other strong picks.
Had all four in my main team during my first Sapphire playthrough. The other two spots were taken up by a Vileplume and Kyogre. I'm struggling to remember who filled the latter's spot in the early game. It was 14 years ago! :)
Since I don't know almost anything about Gen 3 or future generations I am only exited about two things:
1. Slaking. Just because it'll be interesting to see how Niantic have dealt with his stats. Will be be nerfed or weakened in some other way. So I'm interested to see what they've done and what reaction the players will have. Will it be "Wow, they actually did something right for once" or "Fuck Niantic!". It's usually either or ;)
2. Any Dragon Pokemon! I don't see many and I really want to finally have gold badges in all types of Pokemon.
I love the Regis, but I hope they give Registeel a boost. It is terribly weak for a legendary (notably lower stats than his Rock- and Ice fellows) and cannot even be used as a defender where it would be good at. In general, I would love to have the possibility to place certain legendaries in gyms - especially those which are strong in defense like Lugia, Suicune or the Regis.
-Shedinja: I'm actually very curious on how he will function, considering he only has 1 HP, and anything would pretty much 1-shot him without Wonder Guard.
-Hariyama: It'll be awesome to see a new Fighting-type give Machamp a run for his money as the best Fighting type in the game.
-Sharpedo: I mean, come on. This Pokémon basically screams badass!
-Wailord: This guy is going to be... HUGE. Enough said.
-Kecleon: How will he play out without his ability to copy the types from moves that hit him? Also another one that I'm very curious about.
-Latios/Latias: More dragons, and cool-looking ones, too! Are we going to see them as legendary raid bosses like the legendary beasts, or will they be seen in the wild instead? If it's the latter, that would actually be super exciting!
-The Big 3 (Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza): Really cannot wait for these three. And, Vaporeon's time as the best water type have come and gone. There's a new king of the seas on its way!
For me, it's Swampert. While it isn't as bulky as Vaporeon, it has the potential for a good defending move in Mud Slap, and it resists Electric, leaving it with a single (big) weakness to Grass, which is rare. Granted, Lotad and Seedot will probably be common, so that weakness may not be rare for long.
Oh, and Swampert carried me through Emerald, my first Pokemon game.
