13-15-15? 15-12-15? or 15-15-12?

Ofc i hope to have a 100% one before the end of the month but if not i must pick between those three. I don't believe in powering up multiple copies of the same legendary.

Which is the best??

15/12/15 if you don't get a better one.

it would be much more useful if you explained why I was wrong rather then just downvoting.

I have two 13/15/15 golems they were much more expensive to get their breakpoints.
health is preferable to defense if it results in the same overall tankyness as it improves energy gain.

I do not worry how much stardust it takes to reach breakpoints. The worrying thing is where it's not possible to reach certain breakpoints.

For example i saw against articuno entei needs a att IV of at least 14 to reach it's top attacking breakpoint. Articuno is gone but it could be relevant against other pokemon!

Not the one who downvoted, but the difference between 12 and 15 stamina IV is only 2 HP at 15. You're still going to gain the same amount of energy when you faint, chances are you're going to get overkilled by a boss' quick move anyway with such a small HP difference.

Usually when talking about HP for energy gain it's comparing 2 different Pokemon species with similar survivability but different distribution of defence + stamina, for example Omastar and Vaporeon - both have similar survivability to fire type moves because Omastar has an extra resistance and higher defence, but a difference of 120 stamina is 88 HP or 44 energy, which is almost half a bar, whereas a difference of 2 HP is a difference of 1 energy.

Also, defence breakpoints do exist and if a Pokemon does have one against a specific counter, they can be almost as significant as attack breakpoints for the same reason - taking 1 less damage every quick move from the boss results in far more survivability than +2 HP, though defenders/bosses don't attack as frequently which makes +1 damage done per attack better than -1 damage taken per attack.

Even -1 damage on a charge move would make 15D + 12S as good as 12D + 15S in terms of survivability besides glass cannons that'll die in 1 charge move regardless (which Entei isn't), even if a breakpoint for quick move damage taken doesn't exist, they definitely do for charge moves.

If OP's reading this, then personally I would go with the 15A-15D-12S.

The one who fail in defense IV always is preferable, cause his energy gain is more effective.

I actually thought the one that failed in HP might be better in this case since enteis HP stat is massive anyway.

"I don't believe in powering up multiple copies of the same legendary."

Why not? If you don't have the candy/dust, that I can understand. But suppose you had two awesome Mewtoos. Would you only power one? If the legendaries are the best at their jobs, and we use 6 mon to take down a raid boss, nothing wrong with powering up to 6 (that would be a real luxury, to have that kind of dust and candy).

I have lots of candy but not an infinite amount.

I eventually intend to power up my best copy of each legendary (except Lugia which is too Snorlax like and Suicine which is w**k.) I enjoy having some variety so that's gonna cost a lot :)

Off the cuff, I think maybe the 15a/15d/12s, but check one of the damage breakpoint spreadsheets against some current and potential future raid bosses that you would use it against to see how important the atk and def IVs actually are.
