Which eggs on Halloween bonus

Of course every 10km egg I have will go into a breakable incubator.

But is it better to put 2km eggs or 5km?

2km pros:
Less time to open means more eggs hatched and more candies from bonus
Quick emptying egg slot more chances to another 10km egg
Chances of initial pokemon (rare ones around here)

5km pros:
Some pokemons are great and really useful to get many candies like Growlithe, Exeggcute
Almost no chance of a really bad pokemon

Finally I would say that 2km useful hatches would be
Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle
With a 20% chance of getting one
1km buddy mon are not good due to ease in getting candies that way.

5km useful hatches:
Nidoran (any), Growlithe, Bellsprout, Poliwag, Slowpoke, Exeggcute, Grimer, Oddish
(Not sure which are actually good, and it really depends on what you want)
With a total of 25.8%

So with all of these in mind...
Which eggs should I hatch?

10km as soon as i get one otherwise
2km first to increase chance of getting 10km egg.
then 5 .
anyways probability of getting 5km egg is much more then 2km or 5km eggs. so even with 2km-first strategy one ends up hatching many 5km eggs as well

I'd go with 5km.

As you stated, the 'good' hatches from 2km eggs are 1km buddy pokemon. What's the point? Unless you desperately need a level 20 starter (in which case, why during the Hallowe'en event? You could have done it any time) there's no added benefit. The candies are relatively easy to get.

Secondly, in my experience candy from eggs scales with egg. I only seems to get ~5 candy from hatching a 2km egg. I get ~12-17 candy from hatching a 5km egg. I get 24+ candy from hatching a 10km egg. So it's not like 2km eggs are going to benefit more from the candy bonus - it's more candy per km but LESS candy per buddy kilometer - and the huge majority of hatches will be stuff you absolutely don't care about.

That said, the only 5km pokemon I really care about are: Growlithe, Exeggcute, Slowpoke, Grimer, Machop, and Abra (the first four creating powerful evolved forms, the last two being tough to fully evolve). To a lesser extent Vulpix, Mankey, Cubone, and Ekans (since I'm yet to evolve these).
