Which Beldum?

Only 50,000 dust, so that’s a factor. I’d like to evolve 1 and take it to L31 even though none are great.

First: L30, 10 HP 11 attack 10 defense
Second: L29, 4 HP 15 attack 15 defense
Third: L28, 15 HP 15 attack 5 defense

My 3 level 20 hatches are all 87% or less. I have 170 candy.

Are you in a race to complete your pokedex? Is there a certain match up that you want to use Metagross for?

If you are hesitant to evolve one of these, then wait for a better one.

The 15HP/15Att/5Def is the one I would choose. Not really for Reasons, just a personal preference to want HP and Attack primarily.

Wait for a better one I'd say. The level 30 one you can use immediately if you want it so badly.

If you desperately want one I'd pick the L28 version, since Metagross has very high base defense.

I also would question whether you need to evolve it at all. If you want it for dex right now that can't be helped, but there isn't any terribly important meta use for Metagross. You'd be investing some fairly rare candy on subpar IVs and may end up regretting that decision later on.
