Where is my pokemon ? Pokemon page update?

I suddenly want to max out my gengar.
But apparently, i put it in a gym a few days ago, so i cant power him up yet. Usually, i remember where are each of my pokemon, at least my top tier.
I have 10 pokemon in gyms now, i remember 9 of them, but i have no freaking idea where is my Gengar (it's "only" 2235 cp, so i just threw him in a gym without paying attention)

That's why i thought it would be cool if Niantic added a little feature on this page.
For example, if you click on the red gym icon, it would display the name of the gym where it belongs. I'm not necessarily asking for its placement in the gym or the level of the gym, but just the name.
This would be easy to implement

They should just change the red icon for the image of the gym, all gyms have a photo like pokestops, if they just put the image we will know which one around us it is.

People on Reddit have proposed very similar ideas several times. It's not confirmed if Niantic has any plans to change the current system. A lot of trainers suggest renaming your pokemon to the gym name or something that will remind you of the gyms location. Best of luck with your Gengar.

When I put a Pokémon in a gym that's not one of my usual spots, I take a screenshot of it inside the gym

Before you place your pokemon in the gym, RENAME it the name of the gym, or whatever helps you remember that location. People battling the gym will not see what you named your monster, only you. That way when you get it back, you'll know exactly where it came from. ;)
