Where do you find water type pokemon?

It was raining in here, but all I saw was plenty of Wurmples. The last time I went to the beach there were a lot of charmanders and not a single water type Pokemon. This was ridiculous, where are they I have been looking for them for a very long time I only have Vapo, the seels from the christmas event and an Octillery because of a nest but that is it. I haven't even seen the starters besides Mudkip. It made me mad when I saw a combusken on the raining weather I mean that thing but not a mudkip. Please help me :(

It really depends in the biome you live, if you live in a desert area probably it’s because that, in my last vacation in a beach there were a lot of them, so the biome that beach is located also matters

In my kitchen. Sometimes.
But the best places to find water biomes are generally in parks that have big lakes. I find dratinis there too.

It can depend on how the water features in your area are mapped on OSM but in general, water spawnpoints exist near water and spawn water pokemon all the time even without rain. It's heavily biome dependent, I get Shellders and Spheals everywhere during rain, not just near water.

I live in Asia and as you know plenty of water resources. So, I got tons of corlosa and other types of water pokemons.

I'm living in Rotterdam and we have many water spawns. However, last year I've been in Santiago for a couple months and I've found barely any water Pokemon, except for the small rivir that was crossing the town.

Going back to Chile in a few days, might be cool to visit different biomes again.
