There isnt an official announcement, so no, right now there is no event planned on

There hasn't been an announcement, so nobody knows.

Easter is next Sunday, not this one...

It is Spring Break for a lot of elementary school kids next week in the US.

I'd guess an event will start on Apr 12th through Apr 19th since that would give time for different school schedules when they get their weeks off (before or after Easter).

Hoping for double candies from hatches and double exp.

this would make sense to me as well the week before Easter and these things often run from Wednesday to Wednesday. They often leave their announcements until the last minute so wouldn't be surprised if we don't hear anything until next week.

Also hoping for double candy I have been saving 10km eggs and my coins for incubators.

What makes you think there will be an "Easter Event"? I have seen no announcement to that effect from Niantic. Pokemon Go is an international game. Would an Easter event not be culturally offensive to most of the world populace, which is non-Christian? There might be a "Spring" event.

There is no sense about it, because there was the Santa Pikachu event. An Easter event is perfectly possbile.

They can call it whatever they want..."Spring" event (like Christmas was a "Holiday" event, etc...) but with people getting a week off from spring break alone and catholic schools, I think we even got 2 weeks off growing up so even longer than Christmas during Easter...

it just makes sense to do something...

Also, Easter, outside of religion has Easter Egg hunts, etc, eggs and candies so an event makes sense since eggs are a thing in Pokemon Go.

I'd honestly be shocked if there were no event over the next 2 weeks...

We may even get Spring Holiday packs...
