When do the current boxes go away in the shop?

I'm guessing they'll stick around until the Yokosuka event ends but they never gave us a definite date.
The special box isn't even worth mentioning. The great box is the same as the Johto event great box with an extra star piece added, so if you liked that one this one is technically better. The ultra box has two fewer incubators and raid passes than the Johto ultra box (lame). The added star pieces are welcomed, especially since the Yokosuka bonuses are all dust related.
If you're going to spring for a box I'd say go big and grab the ultra box. It offers over twice the amount of high-value premium items as the great box as less than twice the cost. If you plan on raiding heavily during Moltres Day (or really just in general for this event) you'll need the passes and want the star pieces to rake in a guaranteed whopping 4.5k dust per raid.
Boxes always depend on whether you want all the items in them or not. If you want passes, incubators and star pieces, the ultra box is a great deal.
A note on star pieces: I've seen people say they can't use them effectively, but star pieces in the upcoming dust event are super powerful. They cost next to nothing in the ultra box and the minimum yield is 1500 stardust per piece if you use one to do a raid and literally nothing else. Research, hatching, catching, feeding berries, opening gifts, whatever you do adds up.
I might have done the same every now and then but it would be too much trouble for me to line up all the streaks and remember not to catch mons after midnight. On dedicated grinds with star pieces I've gotten 20-25k total stardust in 30min without any other bonuses, depending on how many incubators I used. Looking forward to this event.
