What is wrong with the weather system?
It's currently sunny in my area but in PoGO it's raining like hell :/

The weather in the game is based on public forecast data and is updated hourly. In Singapore, the weather can change twice in fifteen minutes.
I just caught a L30 98% Torchic. If the game had detected the weather correctly (sun, not rain)...
No complains, considering that my first successful Machamp solo was done in a thunderstorm, but the game thought it was cloudy, while I caught three Ralts (including two wonders) in an hour when the game mistook clouds for wind.
I think the question is how big is the area that the real life meteorology forecast is based upon?
Let’s say I live in sunny Las Vegas but the area covered by the weather service is the entire state of Nevada and it is snowing in 60% of the state...voila! Pogo says “snow”, even in Las Vegas. Now, I don’t know if this is a real example but I think it is pretty close.
Where I do live had complete cloud cover on Christmas until about 4 pm. PoGo said “partly cloudy”
