What is wrong with the weather system?

Oh but, there are a lot more wrong with the weather system.

Do you complaining about the news Weatherman when he give a wrong forecast for the next day? Not even they can predict the weather to 100% and you want niantic to do so?!?

the weather system is f****d. Politest thing you could say about it.

Oh well, at least it's funny.

The weather in the game is based on public forecast data and is updated hourly. In Singapore, the weather can change twice in fifteen minutes.

I just caught a L30 98% Torchic. If the game had detected the weather correctly (sun, not rain)...

No complains, considering that my first successful Machamp solo was done in a thunderstorm, but the game thought it was cloudy, while I caught three Ralts (including two wonders) in an hour when the game mistook clouds for wind.

I take the rainy over sunny any day

An accurate weather forecast is an oxymoron, or is it a paradox, something like that.. FWIW its supposed to be raining where I am according to the weatherman and its dry/clear irl and in pogo.

It might have a few problems but even the extreme weather is getting fixed. It can not always be accurate but most of the time it is. The benefits greatly outweigh the bad. I feel it has brought as much new excitement for the game as the release of gen 3.

I think the question is how big is the area that the real life meteorology forecast is based upon?

Let’s say I live in sunny Las Vegas but the area covered by the weather service is the entire state of Nevada and it is snowing in 60% of the state...voila! Pogo says “snow”, even in Las Vegas. Now, I don’t know if this is a real example but I think it is pretty close.

Where I do live had complete cloud cover on Christmas until about 4 pm. PoGo said “partly cloudy”
