I think they will never give Slaking a fast move that makes damage, the same as in the main series you can't remove his ability "Truant".
However... what about Body Slam? A Body Slam Slaking would be a pretty annoying gym defender, not breaking anything too much. It learns it only from breeding in the main series, though.
Let's not forget about Eevee-factor. It broke the rule of 3-stage evolution pseudo-legendary between starters, so it could really be something else from Gen2 or Gen3.
According to sims, Body Slam is worse than Play Rough against a Machamp, regardless of how good the attacker is at dodging. In practice I think dodging BS is a bit more annoying since it comes out more often, but either way it wouldn't be a big upgrade. The only way to make it a formidable defender would be to give it a fast move so that it puts pressure on the attacker even when there's no energy for a charge.
Probably not CD, but I think one or two Unown letters globally might make sense somewhere down the line. Most players will not travel to a local event for the dex entry, but making them an uncommon worldwide event spawn would be a great incentive to play more for those players, which is what events generally are all about.
I wouldn't count on gardevoir ever getting a fairy fast move. The only remaining fairy move is misty terrain which isnt a damaging move, and I highly doubt niantic would remove a charge move just to make it a fast move for one pokemon for 3 hours, lets be real here people, quit with the extremely wishful thinking.
I could see Salamence with outrage, maybe Flygon with earth power if its sufficiently strong it could be quite powerful.
I'm just a broken record at this point, but I always want to point out that even if Gardevoir got a fairy fast, it wouldn't suddenly become that much more relevant as an attacker unless the move was way better than any fast move we've ever seen. Fairy has a lot of strong competition as an offensive type.
I agree, gardevoir's always bene a niche pokemon at best, the addition of a faist fast move wouldn't do anything for it. against machamp it gets out DPS'd by a lot, at best it'd be good in cloudy weather, and against dragons, the dragons handle other dragons better. Dark's alread covered by machamp. A fairy set gardevoir would largely be pointless even on defense, no one fights a gardevoir with a dark, dragon or fighting type, so more of the thinking involving gardevoir does amount to nothing more than it already was unless a hypothetical fast moves was massively overtuned.
Plus with MM metagross on the loose, its gym defensive potential's gone down quite a bit. Its potential always was extremely limited
Potential candidates would be Bagon, Trapinch, or Slakoth to follow the sort of trend of trend of 3-stage 10k hatches. Ralts has become a fan favorite, though this is likely because people don't realize getting access to a fairy-type fast move would require Niantic to bend the rules a little bit.
In no given order those 4 would be my bet.
I don't think "ludicrous lengths" is an accurate description. Status moves aren't the norm in POGO, but considering how badly they've butchered many moves with effects other than damage, shouldn't be that difficult of an idea. Balancing and retconning also happens in games all the time and all they need to do for Disarming Voice is to take it out of a few movepools and name a new fast move that. Casuals might get confused, but casuals get confused about basics like type effectiveness. Most of them wouldn't even notice that the new fast move used to be a charge move.
That said, I don't think it'll happen or that it needs to happen. My Gardevoirs are perfectly happy with Confusion.
Um, no.
1. Replace Disarming Voice in the movepools of 11 irrelevant pokemon with something else. Anything will do since none of these pokemon matter, only 2 of them are final evolutions and those are Delcatty and Exploud.
2. Create a new fast move, name it Disarming Voice.
3. Let Gardevoir learn the new fast move.
This is not going far at all, would be very simple to do and wouldn't affect anyone's existing pokemon in a negative way since the new legacys would be for collection purposes only.
I wouldn't go that far to say "ludicrous," I'm just stating what needs to happen. It could be done but would require changes to moves unseen as of this point (charge -> fast) or the inclusion of status moves like Misty Terrain which they've only done for Pokemon that required it - Magikarp, Feebas, and to a lesser extent Slaking.
I would say that is ludicrous as it would be removing a charge move all together, what would they do for pokemon that already have that as their charge move as well as status moves were only added for required pokemon, which ralts isnt. It would be a large stretch to suggest that it would happen to gardevoir IMO
but its all pretty meaningless anyway as it wouldn't make gardevoir anymore relevant an it was, MM metagross largely knocked out its gym viability.
I don't expect a "normal" Community Day in December given Christmas is in December, and there are 2 weekends that Christmas makes essentially off limits... for a normal Community Day.
So what I would like would be would be 6 Community Days - three straight weekends. And every Community Day Pokémon from 2018 would be available, and evolving those Pokémon during this time would get the Exclusive Moves. So if you missed Dragon Pulse Ampharos, congrats! You can get it over 3 Weekends in December!
But... we're probably going to get a Bagon community day, with Dragon Claw or Outrage.
