What to Use My First Sinnoh Stone For?

In a day or two I will get my first Sinnoh Stone, and since it's only one per week, I don't want to waste it. I want to evolve the most meta-relevant Pokemon first, so I was thinking I should do Rhyperior. I wanted to see what the community thought before I choose, though. Which evolution would be best to spend the stone on?

I just got mine. I wonder the same thing. Which is the most meta relevant?

For offense and defense respectively, the best seems to be:
Weavile, great glass canon agaisnt giratina for offense

Togekiss great new defender (sidenote a good new machamp raid counter for variety and more bulk than gardevoir)

I think Togekiss is useless as a defender, because, uhm, Metagross.

It would be awesome as a dragon killer though, but you get 2/15 chance of having a proper move for that: Dragon or Ice HP.

I'm waiting for CD/Special raid Togekiss with usable Fairy exclusive fast move. :P

Good point, forgot about metagross for a sec, woops
Also good idea with that togekiss thinking on the event move.

Yeah. I think Niantic really killed the game with event exclusive moves. I feel completely silly after almost maxing out my 100% Metagross (mostly for fun) before the Beldum CD. Now it sits useless.

I agree, the event-exclusive moves are cool but can be a real bummer when you miss out on them or simply don't/can't plan for them, as in the case you cited with your Metagross.

Rhyperior is a good option if you're lacking smackdown T-tars for rock-type, or Groudon for ground-type.

Other potentially good options:
Togekiss - will be a top-tier defender in between normal-type tanks, if gym defense is something you care about.
Roserade - highest poison-type DPS in the game, which is a fairly limited niche. It'll be a glass cannon though.
Weavile - highest dark-type DPS in the game, and highest ice-type DPS until Mamoswine is released. Also a glass cannon.
Electivire - slightly higher electric-type DPS than Raikou, but with lower bulk.

Edit: alternatively, if you have a shiny Togepi, Murkrow, Magby, Duskull, or Roselia, you could evolve that one first for style points. Hot pink shiny Honchkrow looks pretty amazing, imo.

Thanks for the detailed answer, I think I will probably go with Rhyperior since I have neither Smackdown T-tar nor Groudon. Roserade is pretty cool looking, though. The only shiny I have of these evolutions is a Duskull, and shiny Dusknoir doesn't look that great imo.

Edit: Togekiss looks great as well, both stat-wise and in appearance. If only I had enough Togepi candies!

Given that MM Metagross is now the Normal type killer of choice, an in-between Togekiss will fall apart very quickly.

I'd save it for now unless theres a specific sinnoh evolution you really like and want to get, I know the second I get mine im evolving that shiny togetic I have

We dont know what the next update could bring, next raid boss/es. If the next wave of evolutions also need the sinnoh stone, would you want to be without one and be unable to get mamoswine or something else good?

We know Giratina's leaving soon, and the raids will likely change too.

If not concerned about raids, i'd say evolve the sinnoh evolution they'd like the most.

*something else better.

Between friendship, weather, and CP rework, most raids are now easier. Settle for good enough for once.

Rhyperior, if you dont have or dont have enough Ttar with SmackDown is a good option.
I am looking for strenghtening my ground attacker, and the movepool for me still dissapointing in ground dept.
So i'll wait for Rhyperior. For probably near legendary raid Dialga, i'll use my Machamp instead.
Others i dont know to be honest, i wait and see altough Electivire is tempting with its base stats and movepool, it is not usefull as a raid counter at the moment.
