What time of day have you had your best catches
Do you have a better chance catching stuff during the day or night, when there's a lot of people playing in the same area as you etc. and in your opinion do you think there is a higher spawn rate for rarer Pokémon in more crowded places or certain time of day?

I usually play at night times because I have a job =). So can't really comment on day time playing.
But regarding higher spawn rate for rarer Pokemons in crowded places, I would have to disagree. I live in a city with 7+ million population and my business trips typically takes me to highly populated cities in Asia. Niantic put more spawn points in crowded areas so with more spawns, a person would feel more rare Pokemons just pop up more often.
But in my experience in Singapore, it still depends on the biome. My SG friend's neighborhood consistently spawns Snorlax even though it's not a highly populated area by Asia standards.
