What is Rhydon's optimal moveset for attacking? SE or Eq

Can't seem to come to a conclusion which one to power up lol. MS/SE or Eq knowing it's best matchup is prob Snorlax.

SE. That gives you the ability to use it as a defender if you find a better solution to Snorlax.

I have to agree that SE is much more lethal on defense, though this is not too relevant to OP's question.

I have both but chose to max out the one with EQ because:

  • it had slightly better IVs
  • EQ even had higher cycle DPS prior to the Gen 2 update
  • I really really favour having two moves of the same type

Also, I recently used it to kill Tyranitars and it was a pleasant experience

i am using my rhydons less for snorlax now days as heavy slam is a bit annoying and exeggutor with solar beam dose a fairly good job on him and the vape/gyrados/blissey either side of him

Agreed, I'm also finding him too slow as I previously only brought him in against Snorlax and now would rather just use Machamp or Eggy.

Earthquake is the best for attack, the simple reason is about the multiplier of damage, the coverage of ground its much better than rock.

The second point its about the coberture of rock type, the types that are weak to rock are strong to ground, its the problem of rock, earthquake its by coverage and dps the best for strategy.

The third point its about the Rhydon's with MS/EQ is the natural killer of Tyranitars.

This is my most powerful Pokémon and its my favorite!!!
