What the recent tricks to catch a mewtwo?

As a L40 player since last Nov, I got my first ex raid invitation this Sat.

Just want to hear the recent tricks to raise the chance to catch a mewtwo. Thanks.

Is slightly easier than other legendaries.
Just make group with your team, don't be nervous, golden berry and watch its arm.

If people at the group are up for it, you want to split into smaller teams (of like 5 to 8 depending on how strong you all are) by colour (to maximize # of balls).

Also, I suggest watching Mewtwo catch videos before going. Mewtwo's attack animation lasts longer than it appears, so you may waste balls throwing too early if you're not aware of it. Either that, or prepare the circle through an attack animation so you can see when the circle reappears to know when to hit it.

Use the lock and throw technique (prepare circle size, then throw your curveball at it just as it finishes attacking so you guarantee to hit it before it starts a new animation).

You can golden razz if you want to make sure you catch it, but Mewtwo is very catchable with Pinaps as it's an easier catch than the other legendaries. I wouldn't risk using pinaps once you're down to 5 or fewer balls though (assuming you can consistently hit greats). If you can't hit greats, use golden razz throughout.

If you mean how to get EX invites more often, you should find out which are the elegible gyms in your area and focus on fighting the ones that are active each EX pass rotation. Ask people in your community, join their groups, etc.

As above, you can further increase chances of getting a pass if you have a GOLD medal at the EX eligible gyms. You can battle the gyms often and place Mons there to work your way to Gold status. With a Gold medal you can get an EX pass with only a few raids.

To practice do a couple Ttar raids. He is actually a little easier to catch than Ttar. Plus, if you have a great or ultra friend in the lobby that will give you bonus balls. Having the gym be your team will give you balls. And pick a high DPS team. Ttar or Gengar. You don’t have to focus on beating him, just do the most damage.

I have only heard of a few people having Mewtwo run after running out of balls, and a lot of people pinap him. I would maybe try one pinap, however I have always done golden with 10 balls left because of the rarity of Mewtwo.

Other than that, that’s all there is! Congrats! And you may get someone to trade you a Mewtwo if you have something they want. With trade bonus candy, now is the time to do it!

Show up to the ex raid on time (slightly before hatch). At least in my area, without special arrangements, people usually start right at hatch. More than once some one has showed up after we're done, asked if anyone hasn't gone, yet, and said it was their first ex-raid. At that point, there wasn't anything we could do for them.

Otherwise, if you can reliably throw curve balls, it is rare for him to get away.

Relax man, you will catch it ... remember its just another Pokemon. LOL They were harder to catch last year but Niantic made it easier by moving M2 closer and nerfing its defense moves. One warning though, sometimes a M2 can jump continuously (similar to how a Tyranitar can jump and attack constantly) making it hard to hit a great shot. if this happens use a Nab Nab berry to calm it down and then go back to Gold Raz. Sometimes you are destined to NOT catch it but this is not common. Don't be macho and use a Pinap like some are saying, just enjoy your first M2. I did a raid last week and a friend caught her first M2 ... 2261 which I think is 93 or 96%. newbies get lucky so good luck!!

Mewtwo is really easy to catch , the throw is similar to maybe Machamp or Tyranitar.
If the CP is under about 2235, like 80% of mine have been, use pinaps until you have 5/6 balls left.
Remain calm and don't rush: use the circle lock technique and only throw as he is finishing the attack (for your first time, watch a couple before throwing, there is a little delay at the end before the circle comes back)

Great curve throw with a gold badge and no berry/pinap is ~15.72%
Great curve throw with a gold badge and Golden is 34.76%
Excellents (18.75%, 40.51%) are definitely easy to chain, but not really necessary to risk missing the circle.
