Against the new meta (I hate that catchall word almost as bad as grinding), but I would actually walk chansey to at least get one Blissey. I walked my chanseys about the same distance as you, still think it was the right decision at the time and still think it would be an ok one
Edit to add: Blissey indeed has some key shortcomings but IMO, Snorlax is just a 3rd rate Blissey
What next?
Last September, I caught a Dratini while on a walk. This little guy just happened to be my first 100% 'mon, and he has been my buddy ever since.
Today, I finally have a LV30 Dragonite, so after nearly a full year and 557km, it's almost time to pass the torch. As such, I'm looking for advice for my next 'mon to raise.
Current team:
100% 3070 CP Dragonite, SW/O (looking for a fast TM)
86% 2948 CP Rhydon, RS/SE
91% 2729 CP Vaporeon, WG/HP
88% 2643 CP Tyranitar, B/C
86% 2561 CP Exeggutor, C/P
82% 2449 CP Scizor, BP/XS
93% 2335 CP Gengar, SC/SB
....and several others.
Current candidates for my next "Project":
The aforementioned Tyranitar, though I still have around 50 candies.
An 86% L/HB Snorlax that I just caught today
A 100% Gyarados that's only LV17
An 88% Machop (though I'm trying to get a decent Machamp via raids).
Current thoughts: My lack of Fighting coverage outside of my Rhydon is hurting me, so I'm leaning towards my Machop. Will likely buddy him and pump rare candies into my Tyranitar when I run low. Though I'm also considering my Snorlax, because I don't have a wall (don't have a chansey/blissey) to station in slot 6 on raids to stay alive as long as possible. Gyarados is great, but I more pump stardust in to him on a whim.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
