What joy
Hello there,
i have been following and using this site for quite a while now and am thankful for its great content and ideas.
So today i made an account here because i wanted to share my joy with you.
I hatched a 10k egg in the morning with a 839 CP Chansey inside!! I think you know what that means.
I only have 28 candies as chanseys are super rare in my town; started playing in Nov 2016 and only saw and caught 2 of them up to now.
So i will walk my new pink toy for quite a while now before i can evolve.
Is there any reason why i should not evolve her as soon as possible? Possible move set changes? As i understand it all current moves are already good on defense, so there is no chance of spoiling her, right?

Congrats on a 100% Chansey...that is a very awesome hatch indeed.
There is no reason not to evolve it that I can see...it is not like you are going to get a better one as you walk for the candy to power her up.
Even at level 20 she will be useful as an attacker in certain situations and will be an awesome generalist prestiger.
I can see no reason not to pull the trigger on the evolve as soon as possible.
Go for it...and good luck on the moveset when you do.
The "839" is perfect IVs for a level 20 hatch...That said, I'd still wait to evolve and power up in case you catch a higher level 1 or a Blissey in the wild (I hear they do exist)...
Eventually, you'll power this up, but no rush IMO...Just walk and wait...May take a few months.
As I keep saying, low CP Blisseys are useless and if you can't park it in a gym in your area NOW, there is no need to rush (Gyms are 2900+ in my area).
Also, if there was a gym rework and "event" that gave half powerup costs, you'd feel bad rushing for absolutely no gain right now....
I tend to power up just before I need to use the mon the same day for this reason...
I wouldn't be surprised if a gym rework allowed some event to power up at a lower cost, etc...(sorta like when gen 2 launch had cheaper mon storage)
Edit: Wanted to stress that yes, you should definitely evolve and power up eventually, but if you can't use it today, there is no need to rush just to get the dex entry (for my play at least)....

Do you have any hints where i can find more Chanseys?
I found my first one during pink event in a main street of town. And the second one few weeks ago in a park near a river, where usually i only find grass and water pokemon and a changing nest.
I've only seen 1 chansey on my radar and surprisingly it was about a month before the fairy event. Walk, jog, or ride a bike slowly. I have a college nearby where I am that I used to go to that has a bunch of stops, so I could basically ride at normal biking speeds and it would still count most if not all the distance.

thanks to the adventure event walking my Chansey got me the remaining candies quickly.
Now i have a 100% IV Blissey with Pound / Psychic moves. Its rated D on defense. But a comment i read its still a good defender regardless of its movesets. So should i still be thankfull and power it all the way up?
I dont have any ever Chanseys/Blisseys in my box.
