What to invest in with raids in mind?
I'm lvl 30 and don't have any of the best attackers yet : Machamp, dragonite and tyranitar.
Which one is the most useful for raids?

STAB bonus has been lowered but it's still relevant, but now so are moves without STAB but are SE, just like in the main series.
Dragonite still has great base stats and movesets, it's just no longer the top DPS attacker in every situation kind of like how it was in gen 1 where it was the best (at least in speed) even against Lapras.
Tyranitar with B/C isn't SE to any of the bosses that are actually difficult - Alakazam and Gengar have low stamina and Exeggutor is only a 2 star boss, if it's got B/SE then the increase to Stone Edge is negated by the fact that Bite does less damage, so if you say that Dragonite isn't needed then neither is Tyranitar.
All 3 are useful, Dragonite and Tyranitar are more versatile than Machamp though.
Machamp's advantage over the other two is that it does more DPS in certain match ups e.g. in a Tyranitar, Lapras or Snorlax raid.
It just comes down to what you currently have in terms of candies and/or pre evolutions. Whatever you're close to getting, work towards that.
Ultimately, a big enough group will win all the time...
The trouble is if you are in a low player area and if you missed the initial raid squatters, no one is left to help you...
Once an egg hatches, all the high level, hardcore trainers are usually there, but once they win easily, if you are late to a raid, it'll be hard to win without enough people...this is where having the idea counter and barely enough people can make all the difference.
The problem is always with timeout since you can get another 6 to attack if you have time...
