What I evolved today

Golduck 93% Water Gun and Psychic. Not that good pokemon. Horrible charge attack. I have 90k dust and I won't waste any on him.

Typhlossion 97% Ember / Overheat. Killer moves. Decent pokemon right? 1800cp atm and I will up.

Am I doing it right?

Appears to be a sound plan.

I might be tempted to save my stardust though, and try for a high level eevee to get Fs/Oh - but Typhlossion is just cool, so there is that.

With 90k dust i wouldnt power up a Typhlosion. You can do his job with tons of Flareons and 1800CP is a good number.
I'd save dust for some Snorlax, Dragonite or Blissey atm.

Yes I have a Blissey but 0 Candy ATM. I do need to walk 10km before spend 1900 dust and power him up. After I walk 10km I'm sure I'll get 1900 dust jajajajaa.. Blissey just take a lot of effort to get and then power up
