What the hell eevee?!?

So we know that by changibg the name of an eevee you can control it's evolution but lately i have been having some issues;

I caught a pretty hood eevee at last and renamed it Rainer to make it into a vaporean and upon evolution but it changed into a Flareon.

The wanting to do some test, I took another eevee, renamed it, closed the app, re-opened it and then evolved and it turned into a Jolteon.

I am limited in eeveés candy so i can do lots of testing but i was wondering if the took out the easter egg of renaming the eevees to control their evolution.

If so, F**k i shoud've have evolve a few decent before this.

Am I the only one experenting that?

AFAIK it works only once and should work only once. So actually, you aren't able to control eevee evolutions.

If it worked always, it would be called feature not an easter egg :-D

Hole s**t you defenitly made me learn something here.

So i guess i shoud've kept that one time for an exellent IV eevee.

So afterward it's all to luck?
Like you get a 96%IV an you get a Jolteon?

yeah, just luck man.

Didn't know that :O I thought you can evolve your eevees into any eevee's evolution by changing it name. I feel really lucky then as my eevee evolved into a vaporeon with a good moveset. Hope you get a good vaporeon!
