What do you think about mega evolution Pokémon, if they will ever be added into the game

The mega evolution forms of certain Pokémon have been added to the main series game.

But how should Niantic implement them, in my opinion:
How to obtain Key Stones:
1: a rare random drop from a PokéStop, with only about 1% chance.
2: buy them from the shop, you can obtain one for 750 coins.
3: through trading, you can obtain them from professor Willow by transferring a certain amount of Pokémon, or a team leader if you have the "battle girl" gold badge.
Note: obtaining 1 Key Stone is enough, keeping 2 or more isn't going to make the difference, and they just fill up the bag slots.

How to obtain Mega Stones:
1: a rare random drop from a PokéStop, with less than 1% chance.
2: the 7th day streak will guarantee one of them.
3: obtaining from your team leader if you use one Pokémon that can mega evolve to participate 1000 battles.

How will they affect the gym battle:
Attacking:
It will cost 15 seconds and 1 pokémon candy to mega evolve once, during this situation, you will gain back full HP, and the opponent's attacks always deal 0 damage to you. Then you will have an additional 1.5 seconds cooldown, you are able to receive normal damage since now. The battle will become the same after the 16.5 seconds cooldown.

Defending:
It is the same, except for that the trainer of the defending Pokémon will receive a notification, and he/she has to choose whether letting its Pokémon mega evolve or not. He/She has to make a choice in about 33 seconds, or to say the 66 second in the battle clock; if being over the time limit, the Pokémon won't mega evolve. No additional 1.5–2.5 seconds cooldown here.

Prestiging:
Use the mega evolved CP to calculate the prestige/XP.

Q&A:
Why does the defending Pokémon can only mega evolve before the 66 second?
Because the defending pokémon will recover some HP, but not all, only half. If its HP before the mega evolution is over half of its max HP, it will still stay the same.

What is the remaining HP after the mega evolution?
The remaining HP after the mega evolution is just the remaining HP after the battle.

Do we really need 10 candies for the 10 battles when battling at a level 10 gym?
Yes, the pokémon will return to its basic form after 1 battle, you will gain back the lost HP in the next mega evolution, though.

If there are other problems, please comment below. Note: this is just a personal opinion, not a Niantic post.

I'm really neutral regarding this. This is still worlds away. I know this post is just to know what we think, etc but I believe it's useless to talk about this now. We are generating information that are most likely nonexistent. Let's just focus on the not so distant updates and/or changes.

Kinda scared for another roller coaster moveset changes. I mean... Who knows if thay make Psychic a 2 bar move again and Petal Blizzard too? But that would make Psybeam on Espeon pretty much useless. Nah... This just came out spontaneously. No basis whatsoever. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

How about Niantic does not implement the mega stone (too many item, too tiny bag), but spawn the shiny of various spicies, and only the shiny ones are able to perform mega-evolution in their final evolution. Think of the shiny magikarp, see how rare it is for trainers to acquire.
