What do you guys use Dragonite for?

So I am asuming most of you have several Dragonites by now but I just got my first one yesterday DT/OR 97% So I was wondering what do you guys find yourself using Dragonite for attacking or for placement in gyms me personally I use him for attacking. Because I rather use something like Blissey, Snorlax, or Vaporeon for defnence.

I have four Dragonites. All with SW (and two with HB). Powered up the SW/DP one for defence. As for the SW/OR one, he is in my anti-Blissey squad, but praying that I get DT/OR on my fifth!

Well, Good luck on your 5th. Yeah I litteraly jumped higher than I had ever before when I saw DT/OR.

I rarely place them anymore for defense since most of my high end ones are Dragon moves. I would rather have my dragons on hand for attacking. That said the main problem with Dragonite for gyms is that there are too many. If there was only one DT/OR Dragonite that would be different. From all angles him amoungst 9 other pokes is a good defender.

DT/OR dragonite is a very respectable defender indeed

I use them as multiple topics of discussion on Q&A forums

I won't place a pokemon with bad moves as a defender, so that eliminates half my Dragonites. Of my ones with good moves, I actually use them as specialist attackers. I use them if I need to take out the first pokemon in a gym, or to finish off a gym. Other than that I use them when a gym has multiple Blisseys. I don't use them as much anymore since I have switched to a tankier team.

Congrats on the 'nite! Mine is DT/H, and right now she's collecting coins, but I also use her as a generalist attacker against enemy gyms if she's not collecting, and she does surprisingly well.

I'm still hoping for a hurricane one...even if steel wing.

I dont know Hurricanes quickness does not outway steel wings well steelwingyness unless he is prestiging as a .75 prestiger.

I have 7, including two DT/OR and a DB/DC.

The DT/OR are the best attackers in the game by far, so I wouldn't put them in a gym even though they are level 30.

I power up my 4 steel wing Dragonites for gyms. Ultimately, all Dragonites are average to below average defenders, so CP is most important.

I only have 1 Dragonite (SW/HB) and just stick it in a gym...usually, I try to find a weaker (lower CP) gym so it can be near the top and avoid shaving still...

Saving for another now...

With SE damage when using most other mons, and never having a great Dnite attacker, I don't know what I am missing so I just stick with my normal team (eggs, vap, machamp, lapras...). Works well enough.

I feel if you have stagnant gyms and can get in gyms if you just had the mons and not a ton of defenders, saving it to attack is sorta a waste...(assuming you want stardust and pokecoins...).

Maybe unlike most people, I don't bother to attack random gyms for "fun" (I think it's a waste of time/resources)...

I just attack gyms I need to claim coins for and prestige daily.

Mine, both level 35.5 (CP 3249 DT/H and CP 3036 DB/DC) are my best generalist attackers, so that's my preferred use.

I also put them in gyms, usually just one at a time, so I can have the other one as an attacker - they're just that good!

11 D'nites so far, but only 3 with good moves: DB/DC, DT/HU, & DT/OR, and these 3 are powered up & stay close as attackers because I usually fight gyms alone. I also powered up a couple of SW early in the game and they are only as defense placeholders.
