What do you do when your mon goes invisible?

OK, there's a gym battle glitch on my Android phone that is very annoying. I wanted to know if others have seen it.

It usually happens when you dodge a charge move that would have knocked you out if you didn't dodge it. The game takes the HP away, you feint, and then the game gives the HP back, putting you back in the battle as an invisible monster.

When you're invisible, you can't seem to do much - you can dodge, but you can't attack. The defender pounds the crud out of you until you faint, and then the next mon comes in normally.

Has anyone seen this behavior? What do you do when you see it?

Everyone seems to have this behavior I think and this latest update made it a lot worst...

Tons worst for me honestly...

I used to use revives (go with half HP) and not heal and attack, but with this bug, usually any charge move would knock out your mon so you're in an endless loop right away.

To combat this, I tend to just swap out to say, my 3rd or later attacker till it syncs back up or if I know someone is about to get knocked out soon (low HP), I just let them and don't even dodge to not get the bug.

Lag can make 1 bar charge moves a much bigger pain since I assume everyone gets this problem.

It's been a known bug for a while, the only thing you can do is switch attackers, it's very annoying against blissey because you'll more than likely time out.

There are two separate glitches with dodging:

(1) the first is the one you describe in which your mon is just invisible. You can still attack and dodge as normal, but no animations are visible.

(2) the second is the one where your mon is fainted, and it switches to another mon but the first isn't actually KO'd. With the first glitch you can continue battling, but this one you basically have to switch to another mon manually or it will just keep reverting back and forth. Super annoying.

Sounds like you're dealing with (1), in which case just continue to battle as normal. You won't see any attack animations, though. Just keep an eye on your energy meter, as this will indicate that you can continue to use your attacks and charge up energy, etc.

Good luck.

1 used to be the case for me all the time and I would continue the battle. But now the recent update makes it switch twice, out to the next then back to the original being invisible, unable to attack, with invisible health bar.

Only way to fix is to manually switch to another and beat the current defender

Switch to another mon, defeated the current defender and then you can use the invisible mon again on the next fight as normal.
It's extremelly annoying specially when prestiging, since almost any charge move would knock the prestiger down and can trigger this glitch.

This is a glitch due to server lag, and it's a lot worse since the last update / the beginning of the current event.
As others mentioned, switch Pokemon until you defeat the opponent who triggered the glitch...

Yeah. Used to only happen in area with bad reception. Now it happens even in areas with perfect reception so I think it is a server-side problem.

Happens to me all the time. I dodge a charge move, I “die”, then it gives me the health back but I am invisible. As soon as I know this has happened (as soon as the defender is done with the charge move), I immediately switch mon. This solves the problem but is extremely annoying especially when you brought a certain mon to matchup with each defender. You can switch back to the original mon too, if you have enough time/HP but you usually get knocked out in 1 hit if you are using prestigers at half CP of who you are fighting.

I have to swap out to clear it. And you have to do it fast because you can lose a lot of health in the confusion.

Yep, it is usually at this point when the overall battle starts to go south.

Dodged a move, but it didn't register until late and you feint. Then you come back to life as invisible mon.

Problem is when I switch out there is a good chance I'm taking a ton of damage and/or another charge move when I switch.

Switching mons should be a bit faster.
